Electrical Issues While on Vacation

In the final 3 weeks of my first productive grow, I had to leave for five days and four nights. I asked a close friend to care for the garden while I was gone but upon returning, I found that we seemed to have suffered an electrical surge of some kind.

One of my brand new 42 watt CFLs was burned out, my fan was dead and the timer had a 15 minute increment fail causing total dark for those minutes in the middle of my photoperiod. My friend is unsure as to when these things occurred as she didn't pay any attention to the lights and focused only on proper watering. I replaced the bulb, fan and timer immediately but I'm worried about what the impact could be to my already beautiful little crop.

While no new hermie parts have popped up in the two days since I've been back, the primary bud on one of the two plants has begun sprouting long and stemmy new vegetation from the previously densely packed top. The new veg appears to be lightly crystalized but is certainly nothing close to previous growth. The leaves of this new veg look immature, rounded and almost sapling-esque.

Could a more experienced grower tell me if this is normal or provide some advice on where to go next? This is my first flowering of this strain, but I expect to harvest in about 10-14 days.

Thanks in advance!
