No idea. .as I said I don't really follow politics... I only voted for the first time last yr because I didn't want Trudeau in...
I'm a firm believer that the whole thing is rigged to begin with and ur (American ) votes are basically a giant pacifier. ..the American side of politics is a side show in comparison to the Canadian side..from what I've seen the ones elected in Canada get the most overall votes...the recent American election hurt my brain to watch...I mean ya ok we elected a crack head and former drama teacher but we draw the line a accused multiple rapist. ..I hope...lol

Oh! :o I'm sorry, I mistakenly thought you were a seasoned veteran of this process. That's okay then...you'll learn in time what your vote actually represents, unless Tr-uh-doh does change the system as he stated. Then your vote will mean something else.

Honestly I never thought my vote counted so I never bothered. .my guy made me vote because he thinks it counts...
Anyhoo my only comment is that it's very confusing that someone can get the most votes and not win..

Your stats seem to be where the disconnect is for most people. Remember, a true/popular vote democracy would not vote on specific issues or allocations, it would simply elect a POTUS that is checked by Congress. That team would legislate specific issues and allocations, as they currently do. In all practicality, they would not vote for slavery, pedophilia or theft to be legal just because we abolished the EC and switched over to a popular vote. If a popular vote decided each and every issue, I could better see your point...

Doesn't matter. Trump won the electoral college, which prevented a relatively few counties from overwhelming most of the country's votes. I'm not happy but wouldn't change the election system.

It was up to the Democratic party to pick a good candidate and we did not.

Spot on ! look, we really ( I ) didn't care for either one.... didn't even like all the people from both parties, nothing worth a damn to pick from.
I did vote Trump because it was better than what the democrats left the people with.... Ben Carson was a good pick but there were issues he couldn't have handled in my opinion.
I am a deplorable as far as Hillary is concerned.... but not uneducated.

When has a president ever changed anything for the better ?

Maybe it's time as a whole to realize that we don't need a president, like the founding fathers believed. Shit I'm sure there's more effective ways to regulate the people.

When's the last time a mother F president actually Did some good for people?

Then younger generation needs to realize that we can destroy the two headed monster (democrats & republicans) by voting 3rd party.

Of course my generation is so caught up in a vapid life style consumed by material possessions and seeking validation from others that we don't care enough to change the system.
