i was woundering if anyone has ever added ash or eggshells to their plant during flowering to increase bud size, my grand father used to use maple ash and egg shells on his roses and it would make a world of differnece, just curious and if not what other organic foods are recomended that do not require a special trip to get (ie molassos, worm castings ect)

Eggshells have a NPK of 1.2-.4-.1
They contain calcium plus trace minerals

Wood ashes NPK of 0-1.5-7
Highly alkaline and usually used to raise the PH also contain many micronutrients
