Easy way to own a house ???

So this is completely hypothetical guys, Im no mass cultivator by any means. But say you were to start a SOG grow and a relatively hefty one (harvesting say 2 lbs every 3 weeks)... you do this for 2 years and quit... After those 2 years are up, if you are stingy with the money, in theory you could have anywhere from 150k-250k saved up (depending on expenses, selling price, spending habits etc).... Now that you have the money, you just get clean and stop all operations...

My question is would you be able to just buy a nice little house and settle down and live your life with no worries? or would the DEA, FBI etc be on your case trying to get you for previous actions (if they were even monitoring you to begin with).?? I mean sure someone is going to wonder how you can afford a 90,000 house with no "real" career, but they couldnt really say, "Hey ! that money is from pot ! your going to jail ! " lol.. I mean there is no evidence other than the fact you have money....

anyways, what do you guys think? is this plausible ?

Not that I would know or anything but I watch a lot of crime tv law and order etc. But one way would be to make friends with a bank teller whom you can bring your money to and put in a bank account IRS only gets notified if you bring over 10k in one deposit or if the teller considers your deposit suspicious I'm guessing a lot of 20s and 10s would be suspicious. Now that all your money is in a bank account go ahead and buy I would advise against this though.

You would not be able to account for where all that money came from. Which you would need to do in order to legimatize it to buy the house.

your a painter aren't you? just pay taxed on the art you sell. you sell paintings at the farmers market or the beach or something right? just claim the cash income you receive and pay your taxes.

Im not sure I understand.... I know people might be suspicious and question where the money came from, but technically that is non of their business. And without evidence or proof that the money came from trafficking then there isnt any way they could just deny me of what I wanted...

I'm not sure of the process of buying a house without a loan... but with a loan - they do check your bank accounts and try to figure out where your money is coming from etc... With no loan.... no one should care where the money came from. I think it would work - but I don't have the balls to find out either

or use said earnings and invest in some kind of self employ comp like your own cleaning biz snow cone stand ect and sell weed out of that too its a win win

If you don't take out a loan to purchase a house but pay cash for it instead, you're going to have to justify your purchase to the IRS. Not good.

buy a fixer-uper house with legit money, get it cheap, cheap cheap.
fix it up. use your cash for all improvements, find contractors that will take cash, no purchases over 10k
sell it. all equity will be legit.

the only problem is the market sucks now and equity is not a given.

lol tell it to the IRS. They're are gonna wonder where your 300 grand came from and where their share of it is...

Noones gonna say "Your going to jail, you must have been trafficking." If you make a large purchase like this though the IRS is going to wonder how you came up with all that money. They could lock you up for tax evasion or repo your new home for the same reasons. If you come up with a business front that deals mainly in cash though and claim the money and pay taxes on it then they will have no reason to mess with you. Give uncle sam his money and you will have no worries b/c thats all they care about.

i really love how the perception that you will make so much money. there are costs involved in production and your margin will be less than you think

You don't have to justify jack shit. For all anyone knows you have been saving your pennies since you were 3 years old and have accumulated enough to outright purchase a home. The IRS has jack shit nothing to do with the purchase of a home. There are a trillion ways to justify having that kind of cash. Cash itself by law is NOT taxable.

Now my question is...ok so after a long 2 years of "farming" i saved up 300k cash...anyone think someone would wonder how i just purchased my new lamborghini?

As long as the cash is made and the crime is done you have nothing to worry about. Can't bust you for something they think you did, you would need to be caught in the act.

Actually that IS the IRS's business. If you have a enough cash to buy a house, but no source of income that they know about they will investigate. There are only 2 ways to get money: legally (you pay taxes on), or illegally. So if they don't have a record of where the money came from and the taxes you paid on it they will check into and fuck you big time.

Not totally true. You can't just have a million dollars "appear" with no explanation of how it got there. If you have a million unaccounted dollars and have no record of paying tax on it that itself will be proof enough to nail you on something.
