Easy opening long term flower storage container for person with RA?

My wife has RA and can't open the mason jars I've been using to store the meds I grow for her. I won't be around forever to open them for her, does anyone know of an alternative storage container that makes a good seal for long term storage, but is easy on the hands to open?

I like something with the big latches. They're easy to get ahold of with the sides of my hands when my fingers are bad. Cookie jars are good if you can find them with a good rubber seal and a latch. They're are specialty weed ones made out of stainless steel too but I can't remember the name as they're a little pricey. I have spinal nerve damage that makes my hands shake and opening jars can be a pain for me too. Hope this helps.

That's the one. They have latches but I'm not sure how easy they are to open as I've never used one. They store weed pretty well from what my buddy tells me.

For shorter periods of time, you could use the Lock and Lock containers. They are a thick yet forgiving plastic, with a rubber gasket and good snap closures on all 4 sides. I have a friend with RA and the same issues, I take him cured medicine in them and they work great for him. I painted the outside of the box with white Krylon spray paint to block any light should he forget to put it away and to keep prying eyes, blind. I merely give the meds to a few trusted and needy people. It is very humbling to help my one friend, his RA won't allow him to use a normal grinder, but he is proud of his little electric [battery] grinder.

Sometimes we gotta let them know their the ones to help us pull through..

A C Vault is probably the best option

A strap clamp works well for the mason jars and is a lot cheaper

The tab clamps are pretty easy with flick upward .

I agree on snap lock type containers but since you already have ball jars
I would try the plastic ball jar lids
They are much easier to grip and open at very little cost

I'd give Grove bags a shot. The bud I keep in them tastes super fresh even months later. If she does okay with ziplocs. I have RA and have real problems with some things...grinders drive me crazy. I'm planning on a grinder upgrade at some point.

Great idea but, I've found some don't seal well. I picked up some silicone rubber rings and put them in the lid before I close it. Works great!

I just use the normal ball inserts
But I hear ya on long term without anything

Sounds like you've got access to flower so making a rub that will probably get the ra knocked down in her hands would be simple for ya. I ya want the recipe,holler. I've been making it for Years & it fixes lots of other joint related issues too.

THIS. Because there are other jars she'll need to open; the mayo, the pickles, jam or jelly, etc etc

I like this option best. Mason jars and a ratchet strap

I have RA and face a similar problem, weak hands

I store in Illy coffee cans. Tight seal yet easy to open. Also the coffee is exceptional.

Yes, very easy to open and close. So much easier than a shelf full of mason jars…
