Earthworm Castings + Foxfarm Ocean Forrest question

just wondering if very low tempature will kill earthworm castings. I got Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil, and i was thinkin of leavin it in the garage over night, its probally about 23 degrees farenheit in there. mainly just doin it to kill any potential bugs or larva in it, or do i need to not even worry about this soil? i hear it is a favorite around here. but i dont wanna freeze it if it might kill some of the good stuff in it.

any help will be appreciated.

i dont think freezing it is gonna stop bugs. Only heating them would. The bugs just hibernate or whatever just like they would outside and then they wake up when it hits the right temp.

gotcha. yeah i read somethin a few days ago about how cold kills some bugs, like mites, but i think they said specificly frost kills mites, guess there is a diffrence between frost and and just cold. o well, guess i'll just have to play executioner myself if the time comes.
