Earth Juice : Grow Question

I got my EJ Grow few days ago, it has now turned a darker color water, with brown flakes floating around. I am wondering, if this is normal, or did I get a bad batch?

I can post pictures if need be.

Thanks for your time.

Well first off its made from crap that's why it looks like crap. And smells like crap. I also use earth juice and dude you've gotta really shake the hell outta that bottle before you use it. It will get sludgy and stick to the walls eventually. I found an old ass bottle that was like sludge. Did a little reading from 3lb and found that earth juice grow won't go bad. In fact you can re mix it to become fresh again.

Search 3lb earth juice I'm sure you will find it.

Thanks for the quick reply, almost re-ordered thinking it was bad.

Will try giving it a better shake next time, odd that Grow is the only EJ that seems to be like this (bloom maybe too?)

Mine shows that there is 1% of insoluable nitrate, which is what im guessing is floating around in it.

yes, EJ Nutes, not ph up and down. Cant even recall what my ph up and down is called, but it is not EJ.

I wasnt aware they made crystal nutes ?

Yes the insoluble is what floats and is completly safe. As far as the bloom I have never got a bottle of that that has floatys. And it don't smell as bad either acctually the bloom and the catalyst (which I also recomend) smell super bomb compared to the grow. You will be happy with the earth juice. At least it does good by me.

Are you using soil/less or hydro? Also do you make the tea or mix directly into the water?

I have EJ Grow, Bloom, Cata and Meta - K . Grow was the only one with the floating peices of nitrate and havnt opened the bloom yet.

Right on, ya when I first got it I was concerned about the same. Insoluble nitrate is just nitrogen in the form of plant matter in earth juices case. As the bloom is focusing on the potassium instead of the nitrogen, it won't have the floatys.

Good Stuff, really do appreciate it, and the great response time.

Last question I have is that I do not use a hydro system I manually water. Should I be keeping my jug in a dark place. I have some other nutes (Snow Storm Ultra) that if exposed to light will start to form green algae, any thoughts on this?

Yes because these are organice nutes, when mixed with water and light, actual organisms will begin to form. I also mix by hand, but only 1 gallon at a time. This can be very tedious but if you do not brew a tea then this is the best method. Ill mix nutes into a gallon and start watering untill gallon is half gone. Now shake again. If you don't do this the last plant you water has like ALL the floating insolubles in it. This is cuz when mixed with water you may notice the chunks will sink.

So yes keep it in a cool dark area.
