Earth Hour - Eternity for an Indoor Grower

I want to participate in Earth Hour this Saturday, but I would have to shut of my lights. I agree with Earth Hour and all, I mean I love this planet, it is where I keep all my stuff. Also, I feel a bit guilty. I am sure there are very few who suck back as much raw electrical juice as me.

Anyway, will my lights being of for an hour cause dreaded light poisoning aka hermies. Or should I leave them on and turn off everything else?

I am also curious to hear if any one else is in on this. You know, givin' a hoot by not gonna pollute...

Bit of a problem you got there!

I say turn everything you can afford to off for an hour, then the next day turn off the same stuff again for another hour - not exactly perfect, but i see it as a good compromise :)

Would 1000w be ok for 20 plants in veg ? (they range from a foot tall to 3.5 foot tall) For that hour anyway. I currently have 1800w in 3 lights (in veg room and 1/400 in flower). I know i can move my one girl thats in flower to my veg room for an hour so that would be 1200w i could turn off total for that hour. Leaving 1000w still cooking .
Does that sound ok ?

why you think I'm using CFL to grow with? because its cheeper and I don't have to massive up-grades to use the bulbs

Except the fact that they contain harmful chemicals (mercury). There not bio degradable . They cost more to "get rid of" than they save for the user.

Besides all that lol ...ummm...
