Earth and Grow indoor plant grounding system

their literature says "Earth & Grow's patent pending growing systems allows your plants to grow as nature intended without added chemicals."

are you planning on not using nutes?

i've been growing off and on since 1972. i read about this and laughed. maybe i'm just high. lol
although bird shit and rabbit turds are identifiable as chemical constituents, they are just fine to grow with.
"chem ferts", if pure basal salts, are simply pharma grade vitamins and minerals, macro and micro. its not like kryptonite you know?
cant blame these guys for pulling out all the guns when advertising, do you have any idea what that "article" advertisement costs? I do, I've edited several, and paid for some too. Its in the thousands of dollars for the plug.

Now a days indoor plant grounding is best way to increase the plants and also you have to develop best garden at your home. There are many hydroponics systems available for plantation and this all are latest system. It is also help to increase indoor grow of the plan.
Uhhh, yea. I hope you're dabbed out of your mind or from another country. J/K bro.

So is that a hydro setup you've grounded there? Do you only grow outside?

014.jpgI went to the electrical aisle at Lowes(prefer Home Depot but live by lowes) and this was half the cost of some insulated wire so I got this to ground the veg room. It cost $27. Jimmie Johnson sucks!

Is that wire flexible? Looks like it would be a pain in the ass to work with.... how did you connect all of your plants with that one roll? The pics you posted of their kit looks clean in your flower room. Im on the fence... not sure if im gonna make my own or buy one from them. Don't want to waste the money if I fuck it up

The wire is a kinda stiff flexible. Lowe's only had 2 guages of bare copper. A much thinner wire would work better I think. They had rolls of insulated wire, kinda like the Earth and Grow, but they started at $50.

I haven't installed it in the veg room yet because I rotate the plants in there everyday and it might be a pain in the ass. Also, the veg room is closer to normal grow temps so the plants grow very well and don't show stress anyway, so I'm not sure if I'll end up doing the veg.

As you can see in this pic the only plug this system utilizes is the ground plug (this should go without saying for most of us), so as B.B.V.C. suggested before you could do the exact same thing by taking a power bar or power strip, open it up and unhook the positive and negative wires and cap them off, put it back together and then run wires from the ground plug to your plants, super simple and cheap, you can get power strips with 20+ outlets so you could ground 20+ plants with one strip using one outlet. Wouldn't this DIY method do the EXACT same thing as the E&G product? If no can someone please explain what I'm missing?

Yes, that should work.

I decided to buy the starter kit... im a grower not an electrician...

It seems to be working... my plants look happy and growing strong. Super easy to set up and didn't have to worry about zappin myself. I asked them about the claims they are making about THC and CBD on grasscity and they sent me this as a reply... a testimonial from one of their "customers":

"My first experiment, I Tested 3 strains without
using Earth & Grow. Then I tested the 3 strains
again the following Grow Cycle while using Earth
& Grow. During the experiment I maintained the
same feeding schedule, harvest time and growing
conditions. The three strains I am running experiments with are
NYC Diesel and OG Kush. These are the first results without using
Earth & Grow NYC Diesel and OG Kush. These are the results after using Earth & Grow for 8.5 weeks in flower NYC Diesel and OG Kush."

Seems legit, but you never know... i did some quick googlin and found this... an article about researchers at the university of arizona using electricity to increase chemical levels in plants... http://www.redorbit.com/news/science/1320718/electrical_stimulation_increases_chemical_yields_in_plants/

Pretty cool if you ask me. Makes sense that the Earth's electrical charge would enhance plant health... this company does the same thing with humans http://www.earthinginstitute.net/

jah bless :leaf:

btw I've got 2 huge mamas ready to come down next to my tomatoes... anyone ever experience earwigs digging into the stems of your plants?!?!? This is a first for me... fuckers... at least I am still mold free

I've been using the grounded bedsheets in my home since 2007 and I was thrilled when the technology became available for plants. In the photo below, the plant on the left is not grounded and the plant on the right is grounded....the E&G plant emerged a full 48 hours before the non-grounded plant.

It cracks me up when folks gripe about investing $100 in a technology that will improve the performance of their garden. This product will pay for itself after one harvest...even if you only experience a modest(only 10 grams, people) increase in yield.

I bet the same people who complain about the cost of E&G are also smoking from a $400 bong...where's the logic?

I forgot about this thread. Ok, so I can't prove or disprove the Earth & Grow, but I am very satisfied with the quality of buds I'm growing. Feel free to check the pics in my signature for yourself.

So I see this is a sort of old thread but I figure ill post on it anyway in hopes some one reads it, I just made myself a grounding type deal for each one of my pots, I do have some questions and concerns however. First I am growing from seed so I have some phenol variation so it will be hard for me to have a "control"

I DID use a fuse in my set up incase something shorts to ground it doesn't zap my plants ... IDK if this is something someone with more electrical experience would like to look into if it is necessary or not but I figured id be easy enough.. I am worried that my 2amp fuse is still too big and need something smaller ...

Next something I noticed ( I don't know if I am doing everything correctly or not ) but when I put my meter to AC and stick both probes in the dirt I get like .0001 mV and with the grounding rod in the soil it actually increases to like .0007mV sooo im a bit confused. is this, I do not understand if I should be using DC or Ohms ...

My next concern is do you think that if this does work it keeps the plant alive longer an 8 week strain is going to possibly take 9 or 10 ? do you think this would be a good thing if time is not an issue or do you think it will only make it take longer with no other benefits ?

I really wish I wasn't doing a big ass pheno search because then I could acticualy do an experiment with photos so no one else possibly waists there money or time but since each plant has different structure as it is I do not think any results could really be reliable ... anyway any help , questions , concerns,
