One of my plants started to self seed. It and 2 other plants have several weeks left and by far have the most bud out of all my plants.

I also had 3 other plants that were closer to being ready. Mostly milky trics, one of them swelling and starting to fade. So I figured a week or two left these 3.

I wrestled with what to do...

I said fuck it, chopped the 3 that were close to ready, left the other 3, including the hermi, to fully develop.

Thinking back I maybe should have just killed off the hermi and let the rest mature, but no regrets!!!

PS> I took way more pics than this, but somehow most of them aren't in good focus ;-(

Pics 5,6, and 7 look like 1 of the strains i run called mandalay.
Looks like you were really close to finish.
Should be nice smoke.
I run a strain that near the end always throws a cpl nanners out. Yet when i pluck and check them, theyre dry no pollen.
Anyway, nice work.

Thanks!

The pics you mention are Cole Train from RPA. It is pretty damn fire, smells amazing. That was the one that was swelling and starting to fade, the other two I chopped were just starting to get to that stage.

The one with the bananas is growing seeds too, nbd I guess. It's just so large that I wanted to let it finish but not at the risk of getting mini seeds in these other plants.

Time to start planning the next grow!!

Similar thing happened to me. Just different strands. I put the herm out and chopped them a couple weeks early to avoid mini seeds. No mini seeds so the timing on my end was good.

So the early harvest was prob even earlier than I had thought, mid bud was very small, pretty much only trimmed the tops and what was right below it. Majority of the buds on these I didn't trim and gonna sieve then use for coconut oil.

Excuse my noob question but I'm seeking to better understand the behavior of hermied plants.... Your one plant that hermied, did that then pollinate and take to seed the other, non hermied plants? So you have seeded bud on all?

I assume you plucked as many male parts from the hermie as possible.

At first yea, I would pull the banana's when I saw them.

This run was sort of a mess....

I had an auto flower in the corner that grew dicks so I killed it off. Then about 3-4 weeks later the Cotton Candy started fox tailing and grew them too.

At this point, I pull the 3 most mature plants, Cole Train, Blue Caddy, and Sharks Breath.

Leaving the self seeding Cotton Candy, Skunk-47, and another Blue Caddy(took way longer than the first BC to grow and mature).

It's been weeks and I have since pulled all the plants...

The Cotton Candy grew TONS of bananas and seeds started to grow on all 3 of the plants.

The Skunk-47 never grew it's own dicks but it is covered in mature seeds.

The small Blue Caddy, was also growing seeds at first, but then started growing it's own bananas too. When I noticed this I pulled one of the buds and dried it and gremed the seeds in it, which were viable and are growing currently. Which I guess are a cross between the BC and CC. I let this plant keep going the longest because the thrics were not maturing, about 3 weeks after pulling the others it was still 100% dark green, pistils pulled back, but not swollen or cloudy so I said fuck it, flushed the crap out of it, and pulled it a couple days ago.
