Early Flowering to determine sex?

Okay here it goes.. I have a decent amount of plants growing and I'm on a low budget They just started vegitation and I have around 20 plants I was hoping I could force flower about 2-3 weeks after veg and then throw them back on an 18/6 light schedule just to determine the sex of the plant so i can weed out the males (the reason i want to do this is to get rid of the smell) I don't have money for an ionizer or a diy carbon filter thing is.. i know its going to smell and im fine with it but I want to lower the smell all i can. How bad would it be to do this? "

I've heard of stressing plants to the point where they turn into herms and this is what i do not want

I also read in another post of someone putting a black bag on the branch of an outdoor plant for 12/12 hours to determine sex will this just stress that part of the branch and possibly make it a hermi? or will this be in risk of stressing the WHOLE plant even though its only forceflowering one branch thanks for the help guys!!

I would take clones from them , label them up and let your plants veg on , you can put clones into 12/12 , when they show sex , you have your answer, flicking to and from veg takes up alot of time imo

Ps males do not smell imo

if you have too much smell already,how much smell do you think you will have with buds on them?regardless if you cut back a few plants

Also i would invest in the filter , you may like the smell , but it can land you a whole load of grief Umbre...

Choice is yours to make. Either way will work. It takes roughly a month of veg for a plant to show sex. Even if you go 12/12from seed. The plant needs to reach sexual maturity before showing. Males tend to show sooner, and it takes roughly 2 weeks after going 12/12 for them to show (transition). Cull males when u see them, and once you determine your keepers, go back to normal lighting, or if you end up with mostly females, keep them 12/12 to finish off.

They don't need deodorant yet! they're not near puberty. I was just saying in the future and as I said before its not THAT big of a problem I live in an area where it is legal to cultivate cannabis but no matter where you are there are always certain family and friends who look down on the healing powers of the cannabis plant because of the propaganda that the media in the past has brainwashed there simple minds and I honestly think they would look at me as a different person if they found out i consumed this wonderful plant which is quite sad IMO. :/ oh well! thanks for the quick answers friends ~raa

People will always judge , normally whilst sipping on a glass of whisky , hippocrits the lot of em!!

I wish my plants didn't have such a strong smell (male and female ) even when they were still seedlings. They both have the odor (I love it though).

I never get any smell from my males , maybe its as a keep em outside , im not noticing it ....

I got lucky on my last 2 beans, and wound up with one of each. Gonna collect the pollen to hit one branch with. If it wasn't for me being cheap (and luck this time) I wouldn't normally know the male stinks.

as far as determining sex early ive seen it done both ways... the question is will you keep your female clones for bud as well... i would... and by doing so you would be doubling the females and getting rid of the males... i grow indoors hydroponically and i have one plant and she stinks... if you open the door on the opposite end of the house you can smell her and shes just some bag seed... so yea smell is gonna be an issue unless you adjust it directly and not with the number of plants... bc you will def smell it...

I would take clones then flower . Just mark them to know what they are

Never had a Male that smelled, have had VERY young fem that stunk

i have a bagseed from a purple bud that smells sweet,hopefull its a female..lol
