Earliest time I can add some sweetness?

I've had a few personal grows for myself but never seemed to get that sweet tangy smelling bud that I seem to get off the street. I am assuming I'm just not adding mollasses etc. early enough into my hydro set-up. Anyone have any advise on this? I'd greatly appreciate some answers. + rep for the good.

bro imo its not about what u put in he medium....every strain is diff ones where you will smell an eighter through three bags a tuppaware container and a shoe box and then there are some that you can put right up to your nose and not smell shit lol... keep em healthy switch up the strains till u get something that u like it dosent hurt to know what ur adding to it will always help get plant bigger mature faster, thinker denser buds so on and so forth

It's all about pheno's. Molasses doesn't sweeten your bud. It feeds your soil. Your plants can absorb some of the trace elements in black strap molasses and some of the carbs, but it doesn't sweeten your bud. Fruity bud smells that way because of the genetics. Curing has it's place in taste and smell as well, but the longest best cure and molasses isn't going to make earthy bud taste like pineapple.

theres no way to really sweaten up your buds like you're thinking. ive heard and i havent tried it yet but if you take orange extract or lemon or whatever flavor you have and add it to your medium about 2 hours before harvest. ive heard this will add a taste to it but i havent tried it yet.
