DWC to Perpetual

Thanks

I just started the new nutrients in 3 of the large plants in veg. I did full strength and it came out to 1.6EC from .2EC tap.

The CaNO3 I added first at 3g/gal and that brought my .2EC tap up to 1.0EC so that was a little alarming. I mixed until I saw no solids.

Next I added the MgSO4 at 1.5g/gal and that brought it up to 1.2EC and mixed until I saw no solids. This dissolved a lot easier.

Finally I added 1.25oz/gal of my 100:1 stock which equates to roughly 2g/gal. Its actually a little less since 1.28oz/gal is what I should have used.

Not wanting to burn my plants I took out a gallon and replaced it with a gallon of tap. So im running 2/3rd strength at 1.1EC which is what they have been getting.

I may eventually bump up to 3/4 if they take to this well. Take it to full strength once I go to RDWC.

Im anxious to see how they react.

I've tried various ratios and wanted to do a 2-1-2 as the 3-1-2 foliage pro from Dynagro I liked but felt there was too much N as my leaves became dark green and clawed.

The only ones of mine that clawed weren't getting much light.

Perhaps I need a new veg light. These pipedream clones still haven't stopped curling. They are growing vertically, probably cause the lack of light.

I swear I keep replacing the same 2 bulbs like monthly. Im about done with the T5HO. Which sucks cause my new veg room could definitely use some horizontal footprint lighting.

Thinking of getting a couple 315LECs...Or maybe try these COB lights you're raving about. Im not good with circuit wiring though and shit non-UL listed scares me. What are you using for heat exchangers?

Loving the barrel I bought off ebay. Seals nice and its only about 95lbs so its easy to man-handle. I just shake it up essentially and flip it upside down and shake it. I didn't bother drilling a drain assembly or a pump.

I have fine luck with regular T5.

Well if its not lack of light causing this, what is? The one in the cooler cloner isn't doing it. Just the ones in bubble buckets.

Clones: Bubble buckets are the pipedreams and the big one in the cooler cloner is a pipedream as well, which isn't getting the curled leaves. The rest in the cooler are stinkbomb clones which are doing real well.

They are finally eating after sitting at 0.9EC. I added tap a week ago to drop them to about 0.7EC thinking the curl was overfert. They are currently at 0.6EC. Going to change out their nutrient supply and run them on dry nutes at half strength.

Veg:

SAM_2845.JPG
Unknown fem seed...Think it might even be an auto...Not sure. Set it at 1.1EC on 11/16 with the dry nutes. Seems to be taking it well. Dropped slightly but I fucked up last night and added too much pH down and it had been at 5.0. Raised up to 5.4 over night and now I set it at 5.8

SAM_2851.JPG
Pieface - Bushed out real well since I gave them dry nutes. But I think its mostly because it had been underfed for so long. Set it at 1.1EC on 11/16 and its already at 0.9EC

SAM_2850.JPG
Stinkbomb mom - Gave it 1.1EC of dry nutes on 11/16. Same boat as the unknown. Gave it too much pH down. Was at 5.5 from 5.0. Upped it to 5.8

So for future reference if I add too much pH down I heard its bad to add pH up to counteract your boo-boo and to just let it be until next pH adjustment time. Is this true?

Not sure what day these Pipedreams are at. But the bad lanky one without a screen looks like its ripening. Pistils are receding and changing to orange.
The pipedream in the screen is bulking up and some pistils are starting to recede. Definitely further behind.

SAM_2855.JPG
Blue OG - Set at 1.06EC at 5.8 on 11/16 -- today its at 0.9EC at 6.1 -- lowered to 5.8 -- Prettiest and healthiest flower plant i've had in a while. I think it can safely go to 1.3EC.

If the pipe dream I have going now turns out like that I'm gonna chop it the fuck down and toss some seed.

Things are going mostly well. Gonna bring the Pieface and Unknown into flower soon.

Those stinkbombs in the cloner are destined for RDWC. Will be my first batch. Debating starting them in flood and drain in netpot lids suspended on rails with some black/white poly cover or bubble buckets.

Havent ran flood and drain in years. And not once successfully as thats what I started hydro in and moved onto bubble buckets a month into hydro.

I will be the first to admit they look like shit. I didn't have time to nurse them back to health before the flip as I was running out of bud.

With this new formula im running I dont expect to run into a Ca def. again. Seeing as theres an equal amount of Ca in comparison to N and K
