your ? about nutes going bad: i've had a GH micro and an Ionic bloom both form crystals on me in the past because of age. when you shook them up, it sounded like gravel in the bottles. i just tossed them. not worth wondering if they are still good and if the NPK is still the same values.

Hey first how ya been?
How ya roots looking?
Do you mess with any automobiles,I was
wondering I just saw another thread where it
mentioned RI ?
My PH was drifting up just a little,I started hitting the hydroguard hard & the "Z" stuff all is good now.

I'm debating if I should go back to Heavy 16 that I have or should I buy some new GH nutes. I got a lot of options on hand. The newest being H16.

Been better man. And you?

Roots in veg look good. Roots in flower not so much. I've had worse looking roots though for sure.

What do you mean mess with automobiles? Like fixing? And yes im from RI.

Small pH drifts up is normal. I haven't been using the Hydroguard.

I'd still recommend trying out Dutchmaster Zone for your flowering buckets. It's cheap and concentrated ($20 bucks/Liter and mix 12mL per 5 gal at max strength). I think you have a small root issue which is fucking up your pH and EC. I'm still using it in Hempy Buckets at this moment.

Yes nutrients are made up of salts =) So yes they do go bad, you've never seen the salt build ups on the bottom or around the caps? Nutrients are light sensitive as well. I am not sure how old or the storing conditions of your nutrients.

Thats like a sterilizer right? I'm going to flush the medium on my flower plants and remix at 400ppm and see what happens. Throw some hydroguard in and see what happens.

The nutes were purchased in November 2011. They were used when I first started in ebb and flow with the lucas formula. Then they just sat on top a shelf in my grow rooms.

I store all my nutrients in the flowering room, which up until a week ago was 80-85F.

So perhaps my nutes are junk?

yeah, 2011 is not a good vintage anymore.

and yes, DM Zone is basically chlorine with copper (i thought i read to help absorption). sterile res is way to go in my opinion even with a chiller. kill em all!

Yeah I wanted to try the lucas formula again after all these years so I figured eh why not...people say nutes last infinitely.

The hydro store was closed, fucking stoners...Was 6:45...They close at 7 normally.

I needed a res change so went back to the freshest thing I had available Dynagro Foliage Pro.

Did 2ml/gal of Magical (110ppm, brought my tap to 200ppm) on the two small plants in veg and brought it to 450ppm with Foliage Pro at 3ml/gal.

The 3 bigger plants got 5ml/gal Magical (210ppm, brought tap to 300ppm) and 3ml/gal Foliage Pro to 550ppm.

Fearing that this is too much. Wouldn't normally be, but it seems like I cannot go as high nutrient wise anymore. Could it be my environment and theyre just chugging through water? Veg is like 80F/70%RH. Flower is 80F/55%RH

The 5ml Magical and 3ml/gal foliage pro is about a 4-1-2 ratio.

The 3ml Magical and 3ml/gal foliage pro is about 3-1-2 still.

In RDWC, some of my runs like to keep pH stable- at many different EC levels- some like to climb and others want to dive. As long as I keep adjusting back towards the middle they come out all right.

well im going for vacation next week and im in a sensitive moment rolling onto day 57 when I leave.

the way it is now it seems if I dont top off every other day the feed concentrates and EC rises and pH drops.

the first 24-36 hours after res change it seems ok ppm drops and pH rises. then for whatever reason it just drinks water. feed is real low so im not sure the issue. maybe the ratio is off and leaving excess nutes the plant doesnt need a lot of and that combined with the plant drinking tons of water is making the EC rise.

my dehumidifier fills up once a day trying to keep RH below 60% not sure if thats normal or not.

Yep me to had better days, still glad to have this 1.
You know I caught hell for a while, but I guess it was worth it.I learned if my PH goes up I probably git this 1I can't remember name)disease and if my PH goes down I probably got this other 1.If I keep it real clean it makes a big difference.I saw a guy tell you he was running that (z) stuff and loved it,well I had just started running it and I love it to,never had roots that white. Now that I've said that it'll all turn to sh$$ by tomorrow.LOL Have a great day !!

Flowering girls were at 6.3/390ppm from 5.8/400ppm the night before. Brought them to 5.8

Watch tomorrow they will be like 450ppm and 5.3pH

Atleast its consistent.

Thanks @nameno

New roots are popping out. Its liking the Hydroguard I gave them yesterday.

PPM on the Darkstar went from 390 last night to 420 today. pH stayed at 5.8

PPM on Stinkbomb dropping down to 370 from 390. pH was at 6.0 -- I brought it back down to 5.8.

Veg plants ppm dropped and pH increased besides the two big Grimace OG. ppm dropped but the pH was at like 5.3

The one that was getting light green tips and margins looks like its burning now. Tips are going brown. Its strange cause the way its coming in kind of looks like a K def. Just on the serrated tips down the leaf blade. I'll drop the feed to around 450ppm (.9EC) and see how it reacts.

Yeah I just know itll snowball as the remaining res gets lower. Filled this res tuesday and ill have to change it again today. predicting around 500-550ppm reading tonight. 3 days. I feel like once I have a 200 gallon system itll be a lot less work.

ill be chopping in a couple weeks hopefully. 70 day strain but still see a lot of white pistils sticking out.

Day 54 today. Going to minimize the N I give from here on out and see if that helps my buds get a better taste.

buds smell good in jar and when burnt but I do not get a good taste or clean burn. maybe its because I dont flush? ive had this happen with buds ive flushed as well so perhaps not.
