excuse me, i apologize
If precision is important, then accurate conversions are critical. The point is that there are several 'ppm' scales out there, each of which multiplies the basic EC value by a different figure. Different nutrient companies use different ppm scales, which complicates matters more. If the goal is to understand more clearly what each of us is doing, it's much simpler to just use EC.

Day 38 5/6/15:
Darkstar - 6.0/430 --> 5.8/600 (upped the nutrients, this one got 1:1 grow to pk booster and 2ml/gal of magical)
Stinkbud #1 - 6.4/330 --> 5.7/630 (upped nutes with grow and 2ml/gal magical)
Stinkbud #2 - 6.1/410 --> 5.8/410
Stinkbud #3 - 6.0/520 --> let it ride
Stinkbud #4 - 5.7/390 --> 5.8/390

Day 39 5/7/15:
Darkstar - 6.0/560 --> 5.8/560 (already dropped 40ppm)
Stinkbud #1 - 6.1/570 --> 5.8/570 (already dropped 60ppm)
Stinkbud #2 - 6.2/400 --> 5.8/640 (upped the nutrients with grow and 2ml/gal magical)
Stinkbud #3 - 6.0/510 --> 5.8/600 (upped the nutrients with grow and 3ml/gal magical)
Stinkbud #4 - 5.8/380 --> let it ride

Concerns:

Stinkbud #3 - Still yellowing around margins and cupping. Looks like Mg to me, but i'm not certain.

Darkstar - Leaves are turning a darker shade of green. Not sure if overnitrification or if they were an unhealthy shade of green before.

Been doing some reading and it appears that otmay also be a K def. stillthinking Mg though since chlorosis is starting to.come i .

Hey you think .5 EC (.12 EC outta tap) is too much for a plant without their second true set of leaves yet?

Day 42: 5/10/15

Didn't check on these ladies since last reported

SAM_2548.JPG

Darkstar - 6.7/430 (drop of 130PPM over 48 hours, total drop of 170PPM) ----> 5.8/710 [reservoir change 8ml/gal H16 A+B]

Stinkbomb #1 - 6.6/430 (drop of 140PPM over 48 hours, total drop of 200PPM) ----> 5.7/730 [reservoir change 8ml/gal H16 A+B]

Stinkbomb #2 - 6.1/580 (drop of 40PPM over 48 hours) ----> 5.6/580

Stinkbomb #3 - 6.1/580 (drop of 20PPM over 48 hours, though its drinking a lot less than the healthier plants) ----> 5.6/580

Not sure whats going on with Stinkbomb #3. What do you guys think?

The horticultural version of this is soft ties, soft plastic coated wire. Comes in a roll, cut to desired lengths, reuse over and over, cleanable and strong.
I need to get me some of this.

I usually do .4EC with .16 tap.

Have you thought about flushing with just clean ph'ed water for a day or two?
No. I don't see the point in starving already hungry plants.

I'm just confused, especially since I never have grown these strains before. For instance the Darkstar is starting to get dark green leaves yet it is underfed, as evident of the nearly 200PPM drop in less than 4 days.

Stinkbomb #1 is being underfed even more and its not showing dark green leaves. Can varying cannabis strains need that different of ratios? Maybe the Darkstar is just sensitive to N whereas the stinkbombs can handle more?

Or is something else going on? I keep my pH relatively in check. I let it drift through the ranges...Confused.

Yes varying strains can require and handle different nutrient strengths.

Day 44:

Didn't check the pH or EC levels yesterday.

Darkstar - 6.3/670 (down 40PPM over 48 hours) ---> 5.8/670
Stinkbomb #1 - 6.3/690 (down 40PPM over 48 hours) ---> 5.8/690 [darkstar and this one both appear to be eating like champs, they laughed at 1.4EC]
Stinkbomb #2 - 6.1/560 (down 20PPM over 48 hours) ----> 5.8/560
Stinkbomb #3 - 5.8/570 (PPM stayed pretty much the same, pH rose .2) ----> let it ride
Stinkbomb #4 - 5.6/350 (down 20PPM over 48 hours, pH dropped .2) ----> 5.8/350 [thinking about upping the feed on this one]

Sounding like great news, hopefully now you will see that deficiency disappear.
