:blsmoke:This will be my first grow. i have been reading bout growing for years and now its time to see what i learned. i will be growing in a 3' by 2' by bout 6' box. i macgyvered the cab myself and it will be completed today. Im going dwc style and have 5 medi bud feminized seeds sprouted in rockwool. Three are five days old and two are only 1 day old. i have 4 100 watt cfls on them right now while my box is getting finished. i have a 400 watt hps in the box. i runnin 24 hour light right now i plan on runnin the cfls on them 24 hours and the hps 12 hours to help keep electricity down. (just got a $300 eletric bill) now im not turnin the heat up anymore. I will have pics up later when finished. Feel free to comment. I hope u have great oppions to better my box.

Feb 13 day 6. Plants are good some a lil stretchy cause i didnt have the light close enough. Work on the box all day earlier. i need better circulation fans cuz the little ones are shitty. I need a stealth way to cover my exhaust fans light leak.

My hps is fucking hot as hell and crazy bright i never knew they were like dat i need to were sunglasses to open my box. Does anyone know if my passive intake hole is big enough for thos two 4.5 inch axial fans i dnt now thier cfm rating? One of my plants got burnt from a drop of water on it whem it sprouted it was a lil dark but now its pullin thru its the one in the pick by itself. I know u c sumthin to make my box better let me kno rep for everyone.

you can get an aircooled reflector to eliminate the heat from the 400 hps.use the 4.5 inch fans for that and get a 25.00 6 inch fan for exhaust at the top.

Also instead of putting both exhaust fans one on top of another put 1 on each side of the top.! focusing on the light pushing air towards the exhaust

iv invested so much money into this already after gettin ripped off by homegrown hydroponics(fuckin garbage) i really dont wanna spend more money and still have to get a rotaing fan for circ to replace the little two. There not a hydroponics around me either so i would have to way for my order. it gets to the high 80s in my box.

the 2 little fans will have to do.U haveto put it to a way where you got your fresh cool air coming in and the hot air is going out.My opinion you only need a couple degrees cooler and all the heat is coming from the light so find a way to cool that. i have a growbox similar all i use is 1 6inch to cool my 400,temps stay in the low 80s

8th day plants doing good there leaves are a lil curled down but their young so i think they will be alright. one already has some nice roots comin thru the rockwool. I put a peice of acrylic between the hps and plants and now my temp is under control i will start using the hps as soon as they go in the dwc

These are nice fans, and good price. IMO a lot better than the HD fan, and 130 cfm. Just make sure the transformer is big enough. If you want or need to hook up ducting to the fans you can get pvc toilet flanges (the piece that mounts to the floor that the toilet bolts to). They will bolt to the fan and give you something to connect the duct to. Some I have didn't even need to be drilled at all, the bolt holes lined up with the ones on the fan. You can put together a good 130 cfm fan for less than $15.

You might want to replace that with glass when you can. I think you will get more light through it. I know what you mean, I like to have glass between the bulb and the plants myself. Really helps on the heat. Even though it reflects some of the light back away from the plants.
