  • I have a very bad problem with slime. Temps are under 66, no light leak, a enourmous air pump, and the slime is taking over everything. I ve been treating with 2ml/gal of H2O2, with no sucess. Check out the pictures. High dosages of SM-90 and H2O2 combined, arent working.

Ok, I will try bennis, BUT why is my system faling ? How can i figure out, whats the problem of my setup ?

Ive been using physan 20 @ 1ml/10gal due to the ease of not having to make the tea, and just how cost effective it is, it works great thats for sure but im getting jelly of how much you guys talk up the root growth, so after this weekend ill bwe switching from physan to pondzyme, again due to cost and ease of effective use. Ill keep you updated on results.

Noob to DWC here. I'm on my second batch of tea and am suspecting I'm doing something wrong. In my first batch, after 24 hours my brew had some slimy biofilm on the tubes and stone, but this time after almost 30 hours I see no changes. No foam on top, no biofilm no nothing.

I can't get my hands on the exact items that are recomended so I'm brewing in 2L (0,52 gal) of RO water with 20 mL (4 teaspoons) of EWC, a bit of great white and 6,5 g of fructose sugar. Temperature is about 19C (66F). Are my ratios OK? Is temperature too low maybe?

Heisenberg never said the dosage of mycogrow he uses that I know of.

Well, in that case, lets have a poll!!!

How much of each of these per gallon is everyone using?

Ancient Forest

MycoGrow Soluble

Molasses

I know I've seen people post their recipes sporadically in the thousands of posts, maybe we can get a new "2014 recipe amounts" going?

You cant combine sm90 and h202 the h202 destroys the oils in sm90.

get a bottle of physan 20.

Are you going to stick with the pondzyme?
Yea although I'm also using mycogrow soluble; I still have like 1.4oz left... straight dosing 1tsp in my 100 gallon res with about 80 gallons of water in it. The whole 'not for human consumption' thing I believe is just a label to not get sued. Obviously you shouldn't go snorting mycogrow and sprinking pondzyme on your pancakes.

Hahaha ,yeah that's what I was thinking... a 'disclaimer'...this will be my next purchase.. I am pondering the dosage for 15ltr bubble buckets? Sounds like its the tip of the teaspoon ...

Another question...not from a lack of reading, just from lack of being able to find the info I remember seeing in the thousands of posts!

I remember heis saying something about NOT using tea in your aero cloner until you have roots, and until you have roots just use rhizotonic. I have a serious slime problem and it's even in my cloner...I started this batch of 12 using UC Roots (chlorine) and half the clones have 1" roots..and right around now is where they start to slime. I got some Rhizotonic, and obviously have the tea...but not sure which to add, or both? Since some don't have roots I would think tea would be bad as Hies said tea with no roots = black stems...but some have roots and I think they will slime!

Also, Rhizotonic is organic, and a big no no when fighting slime is NO ORGANICS....does this not count? as I remember heis saying he runs both together in his cloners without issues and I know he had some serious slime issues also.

so ive got my girls recovering, showing new roots, new growth... they are in the veg tank...im wondering how safe it would be moving these into my clean flower buckets? or should i take some cuttings and trash the mother?

I have developed a serious slime problem over the past couple of weeks. So I made some tea as per the instructions and now, 48 hours later, I have slime all over the cloth holding the EWC in the tea mixture. I haven't even introduced the tea to the contaminated plants yet. Is it normal for the slime to show up in the tea bucket?

Thanks in advance

Here is Heis. last updated recipe that I could find.

1 handful of Ancient forest per 2 gal of water
1 tsp of Mycogrow per 1 gal. I think you can also sub. Great white for Mycogrow.
3/4 tbs(tablespoon) unsulphered molasses per 1 gal
1 tsp of Zho per gal added at hour 46.

Brew tea 48 hours.

For fighting a slime problem that has already occured, drain water in system, add fresh plain water with no nutes. add 1 cup per gal of water for initial innoc. 12 hours later you can mix nutes in the system. Then the regimen is 1 cup per 10 gal every three days after that.

If just using as a maintenance to prevent yourself from potentially having slime. Just start with 1 cup per 10 gal of water.

In both cases be sure to pour some of the tea over each plants root area, when added tea to system.

This information is just from notes that I have taken while reading these posts. I am just copying and pasting information that I got from Heis.
