DWC question........

Ive read on here about buds forming but getting no cola tops or plants yellowing in early flower. I too have had an issue with a plant yellowing in early flower &not being able to stop it from doing so, ending with a small yield.....my plant seem to stunt after week 5 or 6.....drank & stayed alive but absolutely no grow for a couple weeks.

anyway, I noticed that we all were growing in 5gal buckets & trying to cover a large area....4x4 or 5x5.

Im usually in a 3'w-2'd area & after a 4-6 week veg & 8-9 weeks to flower my bucket is pretty much full so the extra vegg to cover extra space has to be the issue.

question is.....am I right to be thinking along the lines of root bound & should be looking for larger containers for larger areas & also could the lack of space for the roots cause the problems of not getting colas, yellowing & slow or no growth ?

I saw a guy on youtube who switches to a rope tub right before flower to give his roots more room. They have them @ walmart, I got one years ago for my kids toys. Its 19 gallons.

I really doubt they were getting root bound, kinda hard to achieve that in a dwc bucket, got any pics? I mean ive seen some MASSIVE root structures come out of a 5 gallon bucket, they take the form and shape of the bucket itself haha.

Did you have enough air in the buckets? Maybe they were lacking oxygen.

Without pics its really hard to answer your question. Although that 19g tub would work fine as long as you can macgyver a netpot to fit on that shit

Lot of info missing. I was in 3 gal dwc and never got root bound... that's with about 3 zips per plant dried. 1 air stone per bucket, GH Flora nova bloom, kool bloom dry late in flowering and some sos to battle root slime.
