your ph will change daily as your plants use up nutrients, water evaporates, etc... i think the general range to keep your ph is around 5.5-6.3....but in order to avoid riding the "ph rollercoaster", i measure and adjust my ph 1nce a day.

specially using a DWC, you should check it at least every other day, and most definitely when you change your water, be it every 5 or 7 days. With mine i mix in my nutes then test and usually have to bring it down. I keep it at 5.9-6.0 at all stages.

You need to worry about the strength of your nutes more importantly, that is the ppm in the water.
DWC is tricky. I usually start no nutes 2 wks, 1/4 strength veg nutes 2wks, 1/2 strength veg nutes for 2wks, then 1/2 strength flower nutes for 2wks, then full strength until 2 wks before harvest, 1/2 strength flower nutes with some extra sugars for the second to last week of flowering, then flush for a week. This is just a base approximation. The strains will tell you exactly what they need.
