DWC Help!!! First time grow

I'm growing 4 sensi kush plants in 5 gallon storage bin in a 2.5x 5x 4.5 ft tent with a 400 watt cool cute and 6 inch extraction fan.temp 82 and humindty 34. I germed in a paper towel an trans fered to rockwool after sprouts were about an inch long and placed in hydroton with ph'd water a little below the pots . the tops grew out within 2 days and showed roots after 4. now im at a week with roots about 8 inchs out of the pot. yesterday i noticed the veins and tips of the leaves turning yellow with a little wilting. wondering what might be the cause of this.033.jpg034.jpg031.jpg032.jpg

yeah an whats that water temp at. With the room at 82 with no cooling water will quickly reach 78-79, which can cause root issues with slime, algae, rot

Might try and freeze a gallon of water and drop the frozen jug in the res. That's what I did and I have to swap jugs every day or so... It's a little more work but seems to help me out dealing with the 100+ weather we have down here...

i was thinking that because i dont have a thermometor for the res. i notciced some some brown on the roots but the nutes i use give the water a brownish tint and i thought slime would be green anyway.. im going to try try the ice jug though.. should i flush the res or would the ice kill off any algae present?

my house is usually around 75 degrees but with lights on and tent closed i get temps of about 100 degrees and thats with exhaust and intake. the exhasts attached to a 6inch cool tube and a passive intake coming from the ac. tent open im pretty steady at 82 84.

They look hungry dude. They are turning yellow from lack of nitrogen. Add nutes 1/4 strength for the seedlings. your PPM should be about 200-250 for the young seedling.

Brown on the roots could be from the additives I know I always got them. One thing you need to understand in DWC is that water temps are very important if you dont keep it under 68 degrees then you will just hit a lot of problems.. I would drain your res and refill using fozen water bottles to cool your res. Also 100 degrees for seedlings isnt good you need to exhaust that heat from the light.

the lowest i can get the temp with the tent closed is about 88 degrees. i either need a stronger exhaust or just add a fan to the intake. i dont need to close it untill its flowering anyway so it shouldnt really be a problem

If having temp issues, a compost tea can help a lot. I wouldn't be giving those plants any nutes. Probably getting too much at the moment.

im already on it. whats the lowest temp it can reach?
I have had success at 58 degrees you're fine anywhere from 60 degrees to 68 degrees. If you cant afford a chiller you might want to read up on Heisenbergs threads he knows good recipies for beneficial bacterias and tea, really thats your only way of surviving this grow water temps play a big part in DWC. You can also try getting your air pump and setting it in another room thats cooler and run long lines of tubing into your res. That will help blow cooler air into your res instead of the 100 degree air its blowing into your res, buy a small desk fan and point that bitch at the air pumps.
