DWC grow. please send feedback, tips and help with my first grow. not a noob but not a pro! TY!

Hey guys this will be my first grow and i feel confident enough to jump in to a DWC GROW. the space im using is 39''X40''x96'' pretty much 3 ft by ft space. and nice height for my fixtures. I am using a 400 watt hps/mh for veg and flowering but with the seedling and start of grow ill use x2 120 watt flourecent bulbs.(not sure if 1 will do the job)

Heres a list of what i have so far:
--400 watt hid lights ( hps+ mh) ( should be good enough for a 3 ft x 3ft room?)
-x2 120 watt flourescent plant lights ( hope depot cheap gets a little hot )
-- 4"inline fan with air intake filter. + ducting to help with ventilation ( 2 small high velocity fans. adjustable speeds)
-white poly reflective covering on all walls of grow room+ reflective foil tape
-temp and humidity reader
-ph up down and test kit

-FLORAGROW 3 series ( Do i follow this exact schedule?http://generalhydroponics.com/site/gh/docs/feeding_sched/GH-FloraSeries-REC-Charts.pdf)

-Scrog setup with pvc piping will put up after few weeks of seeding and growing.

BELOW IS THE DWC SETUP

- x2 5 gallon DWC pre-set buckets/ x2 6" Heavy Duty Net Pot Lid/ i have Growstones Growing Medium and hydraton clay pebbles (which is better to use?!) / rockwool cubes for start
-44 Gallon Per Hour Oxygen Air Pump ( im not sure if this is a good airpump?)
--Large Diameter O2 Oxygen Air Stone ( should i invest in a better stone?)
http://www.powergrowsystems.com/powergrow-deep-water-culture-system-6-for-large-plants.html

MY PLAN:

-After germinating 2 seeds and washing out hydraton stones, i will place 2 seeds in 2 separate rockwools about half inch inside the middle and lightly cover seed. I will then fill up a large net pot with washed hydraton pebbles and add both rockwools to opposite side of pot so roots dont touch. i will have that sitting on the floor underneath both 120 watt fluorescent bulbs ( 1 might be enough not sure) with a 24 hr lighting until stem emerges.. i will not add any nutrients to water until i move them to the dwc buckets. ( is this good thing to do no nutes until a week or two after sprouting?)

after stem pops out and roots seep through the bottom or rockwool i will place them into the DWC buckets, 6" net pot covered by the (grow stones that came with dwc bundle ) i will also change lights about a week or two after the transfer to the 400 watt mh lights for the veg growth.
*- the buckets will be elevated about 10 inches from the ground so i will be able to lift 6" net pot and remove bucket even when it hits the scrog. i will immediately immerse the plant back into a 5 gallon bucket with only ph leveled water for a few minutes until i clean bucket add fresh water and nutrients..

question: i need a walkthrough with the flora grow 3 step system. to sum it up. this chart doesnt help me much because its confusing to me . can someone explain how to use these nutrients properly series. http://generalhydroponics.com/site/gh/docs/feeding_sched/GH-FloraSeries-REC-Charts.pdf

from there. i will top my plants /lollipop them and give some lts until they reach the scrog. i plan on keeping the veg cycle 2 or 3 weeks longer than intended for best scrog coverage.

My initial questions are these:
-how to use nutrients and when to change water/nutrients.
would 2 plants in a 3ft by 3ft room be to much with a scrog screen using a 400 wat hps. will the plants have enough light?
**** i heard alot about water being cloudy/smelly and turning roots brown.eventually killing the plant. i heard
Botanicare aquashield OR h202 help with these problems? ill stop here because i would like ot know everything i can about the beggining first

thank you for you time and i hope to see some positive feedback! constructive criticism works too

I will be adding photos to this asap.

Nutes- start at quarter and adjust from there
Yes will be fine with 2 plants under scrog
Aqua and h202 both kill pythium
Put a damn check valve on your air pump
Anything else just ask

Mr belvedere he's made his mind up let him figure out
Hydro= no life stuck babysitting plants but on the other hand bigger yields so good luck op

I've seen a couple noobs pull DWC off. Hopefully OP has read his ass off, or has some second hand experience. Best of luck OP.

hello , yes i have done plenty research. watched many many videos on a dwx grow, soil grow , training plants, lighting air circulation everything really.. and dwc seems simple because iv read so much about it and how it works..as long as i keep the water fresh and add the right amount of nutrients also i have a few things to control temperature and 400 watt light will be great for both plants. honestly i was going to do soil but i think i can handle a dwc because there are much more advantages with yield and how fast plants grow..and of course the risks ... idk im going with my gut on this one and will go all in with the dwc. my main concern is the nutrients and changing the water and also not killing the roots like alot of people do.

its not to late to change to soil.. i think ill be able to add a thrid plant with the soil..but common guys a dwc is not rocket science especially maintaining only 2 buckets.. my main concern again is making sure enough air is circulating in the bucket.. someone mentioned something about a check valve for my pump. what will that do

honestly. i want my first grow to go smooth. i believe the dwc is not that hard to do with two buckets... ill change water weekly add nutes as needed. still contemplating using soil because seeds have not arrived.. hmmm

What do you lose by doing it the easy way first?

see my problem is understanding nutes lol fml.. im at a roadblock with nutes. man i was ganna use the flora series because its simple and only comes with three things you know . i plan on changing the water in my dwc every 10 days and just add nutrients that states on this schedule --http://generalhydroponics.com/site/gh/docs/feeding_sched/GH-FloraSeries-REC-Charts.pdf so lets say i fill up 4 gallons each time with ph good water, then add 4 servings of 1/4 strength nutes for the first 2 weeks of flowering. every 10 days changing water completely and then staying at 50% servings because i read a few places that this schedule i linked are too much nutes to use.. start at 1/4 and stay at 1/5 after idk about the veg tho.. will this work? also.. if within the 10 days the water goes down allot i will add ph good water until time to replace water again.

can i also add h202 small drops each time i change out water to keep roots from rotting idk if i should use it throughout the whole cycle i heard h202 is good for keeping water clear and roots white.

if i grow soil im going to have to go out and buy a bunch more shit that i dont want to lol.. i bought 2 dwc buckets with everything included so fk it ill stick with dwc and do everything i can to make it work.. i guess ill invest in a ppm reader ph reader ( i have test kit with little bottle) even tho i wouldnt know what to do if ppm is high or low. .. womp im starting to not feel so good about this grow . dwc seemed simple but i cant grasp my head around the nutrients and ppms.

i plan on just changing water out every 10 days and add right amount of nutrients each time. if water gets low within the days ill add phd water until time to change out.. so on this matter but its the nutes im having hard time with..

I used Lucas formula in my first rdwc grow along with hydoguard (beneficial bacteria). Lucas formula is General Hydroponics, but it's only the micro and bloom. The micro has enough nitrogen in it and no need for gro (the green bottle). My goal was to make the system as simple as possible and as automatic as possible. I hooked up a rez on a drip line and basically changed the water every 7-10 days, that was it. Growth was booming and results were amazing. Fun run, will do it again. https://www.rollitup.org/t/rdwc-build-so-far-so-good.852489/
