DWC great white shark

Hey gang I'm growing two(now one) plants in my closet in DWC. I've grown 1 before in a well ventilated tent. But for this grow I've gone to the closet. This grow however has been going pretty shaky. After finding out I was naive to my reservoirs temps I was engulffed in root rot killing the runt of the litter. With quick action and strict regimen I am now slowly winning the fight with root rot. However I am in aboiut the 5th week of this plants lifecycle and it is auto so the buds are starting to form, they look good, but I'm worried my plant is a lil too stunted.

I've been using "Great White Shark" since week 1 but albeit my water temps were too high to fungus bloomed. But now that it's been almost 3 weeks with plenty of water change outs, the fungus always comes back (but not as bad)

Has anyone ever used GWS before? and does anyone think this plant will break free and yield some nugs?

thanks

Youve got nute burn.
If I was you Id get some soil and grow that way, then once you know what youre doing you can go back to hydroponics. Its just too complicated and unforgiving for newbies imo.
Good luck man, that girl will make it,just go easy on the nutes and watch your ph

While I disagree with the sentiment that hydroponics is too complicated or unforgiving (I think the opposite actually)... if you can't get the temperatures down in your reservoir it may be a better idea to try either a passive hydroponic type of grow (like hempy or coco) or go to soil.

One thing I would try though is to insulate the reservoir and lid with a radiant type of insulation like Reflectix. I can't tell from the pictures if you have anything on the outside of those buckets but if they are just plain black buckets you would likely see a huge improvement on temperatures - enough so that an occasional frozen bottle would keep the temps in a good range.

thanks gang. I'll finish this one out as all of the new growth is a lovely shade of green and the buds be growing. BUUUT since its stunted will it still be "fully matured" in the 60-70 day bud span... because the harvest should be around April 10th but I'm just not sure if it'll be big enough and if thats the case if the tricombes will start to degrade thusly...

also anyone know a good water res cooler? much rather set and forget than have to come home every 6ish hours to throw in a new bottle

Looks like she'll produce something for you even if it's underwhelming. Might as well try to finish her out if you are in the final month IMO.

Yeah if you can afford a water chiller, that's definitely a nice upgrade. I don't use/have one myself since I heavily insulate my buckets and the reservoir temps stay at or under 70F - I haven't run into any problems yet thankfully. So maybe someone else can chime in with a brand recommendation there for you.

what do you use to heavily insulate it? towels, mylar, I have a lot of material lying around from an old grow tent? what would be recommended?
