ok i just started my new grow and i put the seeds in a shot glass full of water. after about 3 days i put them in rockwool. once they spouted out the top i moved them into a little DWC system i made out of clay chili bowls net pot and a 2in air stone. the problem is i dont know if this is a good idea cuz they have not shown any signs of growth and its been about 2 weeks since i put them into the dwc....the light is 70 watt MH any help would be great

That light would get you some growth. Does the seedling have a root structure developed yet? How big is your reservoir? How big is your pump? You may need a bigger stone, lots of bubbles are key! If there isn't a root zone dipping into the aerated water/nutrient solution and a 1"-2" gap between the bottom of the pots/water then you should be watering by hand until your roots are into the nutes!

my 70 watt light grew 2 other plants just fine the whole way throw and fred it does have roots sticking out the rock-wool about an inch or so, well about my reservoir u see is a chili bowl that fits a 3" net pot and allows about 2 inches of water to bubble away and my air pump is well shit i forgot how much the output is. i got it at pet town it has a high and a low out let with adjustable valves. i have been trying to upload pics but it fezzes up each time i try to so im not sure what to do about that.

The general rule for the pump is 1 watt per gallon of water. With the size of your reservoir you should be good with just about any pump. You may want to look into something a little more appropriate for growing like a durable tote as a reservoir, too.

I germinated a seed in a paper towel then it went into a park seed plug, made sure the tip of that plug was touching the base of the basket. then i filled in with the pellets. I kept the water level up high so the bottom of the basket was getting the action of the bubbles. That kept my plug wet and allowed the seed to develop.

Have had no need to hand water, even at this stage. notice i have two air lines running into the 4 gallon res. see below for an example.
