DWC Autoflower grow: Roots Salvagable?

IMG_9280.jpg

Hi all,

This is my first dwc grow with Himalaya Blue Diesel (Autoflower). Ive had a few rough patches with nute deficiencies and oxygen problems but the plant has strived through and is looking pretty good. The roots on the other hand have been getting worse...I know that this is a sign to root rot and i should add more oxygen to the system. An additional pump is in the mail however I was wondering will these roots survive? can I simply lower my rez level to below where the browning is since the bottom roots look healthy?

The roots don't look that bad. Might try a little H2O2 if you use the stuff from the drug store I used 5ml per gallon to start. Is your res light proof? I would keep the water level at a height where the bubbles break and splash the bottom of your res lid. Also if your using organic nutes then no H2O2. Do your roots stink or do they smell like lettuce do they feel slimy?
