I just bought a couple of them should be shipped in a week. Gonna keep em inside until the spring. Will probably use my Nutes and lights the rest of the time. Anyone ever grown em? Tips?

It's a dwarf cavendish banana tree and does bear fruit! Yay

I have about five different types bananas growing in my garden.. Once established they loves water and fertilizer. The dwarf cavindish will give you fruit.. Just don't remeber how many years it will take.

Thanks bro. I just got em they are only about 5". Says 2 years to bear fruit. Plan on keeping them in 5 gallon pots since it gets real cold in the winter. I will bring them inside. Goin to repot them this weekend into just some small pots I have laying around. Eventually work my way up to 5 gallon perm homes. The guys I bought them from said that would keep them about 5 feet tall and that's my target. Otherwise they can get 8 to 10 feet. I plan on just using GH nutes and CalMag mixed like the Lucas formula. They are beautiful little plants!

That's nice. My wife loves bananas too. That's like a bonus really. I just like the trees for deco and may take 1 to the office. I don't think they would mind me hanging a CFL and putting it on a timer for the weekends. Looks great man thanks for sharing.
