Dvs 408 Einstein and Tech Nin3

OK so after two weeks of anticipation i finally got the extra bread to put together my closet grow. I bought Mylar (which is like a dollar a square foot i think, and they sold it in 50ft and 20ft, so i got the 20ft) and i got some lights.

About the lights. The Light i was going to use was a T8 CFL (Lamp) However when i spoke to somone at a hydroponic's shop he convinced me to buy His T5 Model. (Don't worry, i asked myself what's in it for him.)
So he explained to me that the T5 model doesn't flicker and waiver like the T8 because of the gas that pass through it being less. So thats why i picked it up.

So the T8 Model was a cool white, blue spectrum and he convinced me to get a daylight CFL from him instead. NOw, they was hip the game, and so i figured he knew what he was talking about. Im not sure i will take pictures of all this and post it Here.

So the grow room is a 28in by 24inch closet. I have one CFL lamp about a foot long i'll post pics of the lamp which i think is perfect. so anyways, Here are some of the pics of my two plants.

I had Einstein a week and half longer then Tech, I don't know why one sprouted a weak earlier. Oh well i guess thats just that. I kept them outside till i set up my lights. I swear, after the first 24 hrs of light, Einstein Hit a Growth Spurt. Has anyone ever seen that before ? Anyways, now im looking to change the soil. i was going to pick up a bubba kush but i decided not to in the end.

the pics are really small but it looks to me like you have two plants in one pot.... this is a definite no no if that is what is going on here.... for a few reasons
1. root space,, dont make them compete for it only one will win
2. sex seperation... if one is male and one is female the male gets cut down and the roots are left because they will already be tangled with the other plants roots and trying to take the roots out could kill the other plant
3. if both are good females they will be crowding eachother.. so not only will they be competing for root space but they will also be competing for air and light space

Hey thanks for mentioning it to me. I almost entirely forgot to seperate the plants, i was going to give it a week, but this morning the third Seed which i thought was a DUD, Sprouted. I think im going to call him Poe.

Yeah so i Apparently Got 4 Plants, awsome right. I was amazed when i had three, now im amazed that i have four. i started with one, and figured the other three seeds were duds. Guess not,
So here are some pics.

The Biggest one is Einstein,
the second biggest is Tech,
The third is Poe, u can see him as a sappling.
The fourth one is a bit tricky and let me know what u all think i should do. The Fourth one i have named Ensigh Guy, because he sprouted so close to Einstein's stem, i think i may have to .... . . . . KILL HIM>

I will be transplanting my sapplings into the right sized containers. I think its 3 gallons, but i will post as i go along. I may buy another light, so i can show everyone what brand it is and what it does.

Alright, thanks for the advice everyone, especially the guy who reminded me about the plant space. I got bag seed. Do i really want 4 bagseed Plants ? i don't know, its my first grow. I'll let u know how it all comes out.

Here's my 2x2x8 ft closet. its more like 24 in by 27 by 8 ft. ok i know the pics aren't the greatest but my web cam doesnt' reach that far. I taped the CFL T5 up against the side of the mylar'ed wall, i tried to be very careful not to tape any "Hot Spots" so far so good i do plan on buying the proper hanging attachments, some sort of chains. I hope u Guys like it, its not done yet but will be soon.

OK so i got all four of the little ones transplanted into bigger nicer pots. I also picked up another light, which is working great. Anyhow, my gf broke the computer button that turns it on, i don't know how, it looks like there never was even a button there, anyways i'll get pics and all that set up later. I also go a digi cam so the pics should be alot better.

ok so i've had to buy a fan cost me like 24 bucks, i thought i was getting buringing with the lights, anyhow now i have 2 clones strawberry cough and grand daddy purp. so yeah things are looking nice. i had a few bugs at first, (3) i caught 2 and the light burned one away LOL, some sort of spider looking thing uh oh.

Ok so tell me, i Look at my plants alot, and i get alot of shit from it from my brother and my girl friend. Even a friend of the family says that, and it pisses me off. Am i or am i not right for checking on my plants alot during my first grow. i almost ended up not watering them enough one day, i slept of a hang over and well, when i woke up i went to go check on them and the soil seemed pretty dry.

Now i don't know what to do, but these ppl are pissing me off. My gf doesn't wanna let me get another light so im thinking of killing my smaller plants.

Ok so just to keep people updated. My Strawberry Cough has struggled all its life. It looks like it may be suffering from heat issues, We just started our 3rd week of flowering and shes 24 1/2inches. Very nice i would like to think, atleast shes tall. Ph levels are at 7.0 my ph tester is really cheap and acts more like a stake when it measures the ph.

Now as for my G. Purp Alls well that is purp right ? No problems here, shes so nice and bushy with dark green leaves and nice pistls. shes 18 inches.... Loveliness.

Yes, the guy who recommended these lights to me promises this will do for now, before my next garden i hope to get a hid for like 200 bucks or so. alright thanks for checking my grow

Yes it sounds to me like that'll do. 6500 is a very nice color and im using six t5's to veg, they are single bulb flourescents. mine are 23 watts and kick out like 1800 lummens each. it could be more i can't remember i'll check for u ok.

SO things have changed. I have removed my second clone Strawberry cough, because of lighting issues and the fact that my brother is an ass. Seriously, note to everyone Do Not Grow if You are in full control. The last thing u need on ur first grow is some unread novice talking smack about what he Thinks is right. Nough, said.

has anyone bought that buds for less book where he says you can get 8oz in 68 days or somthing, he fails to mention what spectrum of light he is using, if he switches them out at diffrent times so yeah it is an issue. I spent more than 100$. more like 180$ on lights alone, and i still don't have a hp.

so all seems to be going as planned. now worries with my Grandaddy. i learned a few valuable things this time around. (my first grow) which was light spectrum, ph levels, soil issuies. I learned that before u start to grow it is important to have the right PH tester cuz i don't, and that it'll cost about 90 bucks, u also want a ppm meter which is around 90 bucks, which i don't have either. I also learned that no matter how much fun it is to show your closest buds, don't show them unless you have been friends for years, and they are angels, which is highley unlikely. No childishness.... well this one i learned alot, so i can not stress how important it is to keep things hush hush. so this will be my final grow. im not in the mood for all the bs that comes along with it. I have to much heat on me, from my neighberhood, i have had friends fall out who were assholes and couldn't respect certain boundries. So all in all i don't plan to be updating very much from here. till the next ones rolled.

Alright i got a whole bunch of pics to post that i should have posteda long time ago, remmeber i Used CFL's that are tubes. T5, that kick out and awsome 1800 lumens at 6500 K, just so you guys don't forget. The Grand daddy purp was such a creeper.
