Hello all i have a grow tent using LED's there is a lot of dust/insulation in the space i am in, fresh air gets in through numerous cracks in the wall so the dust isn't being kicked up much but there is a fair bit lying around and hoovering isnt really an option, have a carbon filter w/fan for outtake but no intake fan, could i cover the spare open intake holes with ventilation cover dust filters?? will this help my situation? thanks anyone for the help!!

Peace

You should plug the cracks with spray foam or something, since you probably are also letting a certain amount of light in, but a Hepa filter on an air purifier will help some.
Why don't you put a fan or two with filters in the unused intake holes instead of plugging?

They have this infomercial for flax seal, I'd just use that. Or clean it. Honestly, why don't you just clean it. Are you really that lazy? I mean come on, we're all lazy, but so lazy that you can't even dust a tiny tent once a week?

haha im pretty lazy, i don't mean my tent though, that's clean and well sealed, the room its in however isn't, its an attic space so everything is resting safely on beams but i'm reluctant to go vacuuming over most of it for risk of falling through, iv'e covered some with sheeting im just concerned about the air thats coming into the tent! thanks for the input though

get an intake fan with a filter on it to evade all dust, bugs etc
that is definately the best solution deejay and i'm chucky just not in my budget right now, since its a small number of plants i assumed id be ok with passive airflow, lights are LED so little ventilation needed just for the smell really. would dust filters over my two spare vent holes in the tent be enough for the time being, one grow i think. thanks for the help all

The plants need CO2 in order to give off oxygen and do their thing.
You DO need ventilation, even if temps are OK.

I do have some ventilation, i have an inline fan and a carbon filter for extraction, for 4 small-ish plants i didnt think i needed and intake fan as well, but like i said that could be my solution if it didn't mean buying another fan and another filter which i cant afford!

thanks for the help again all, here's another questions then, if i buy another fan as an intake how long do they need to be on for a day, the on i have now is a 4" inline turbo's, so i'd rather not have em on all day, what about on for an hour every 4? or on for 3 hours a day twice a day? thanks agin for any help

where there is air there is dust
where you go you leave dust

minimal amount will do no harm
not sure what a heavy amount would do other then add weight

haha yeah, its nearly all human skin apparently...nice...

got intake as well as outtake fans now anyway, just put a dust filter over my intake, problem solved, as long as a little extra isnt gonna kill em anyway, thanks for the help y'all!
