they need to be grown in pots to restrict the roots. there's a few tricks to getting them to think it's time to start flowering, like foliar spraying a few times over a couple weeks with an acidic foliar like liquid fish, phosphoric acid or vinegar, pH 4 or less. bag them a few days or light dep a few weeks.

we have a Colombian black volunteer seedling in the garden that is hanging in there despite all the rain. still needs a while to finish but has some trichs and a nice purply bud. we took some cuts and I'm thinking I'll pollinate it with auto fire 99 which is an auto strain. this pic is from a couple weeks ago. some of those Colombians are from way high altitudes so the hardiness is not especially shocking. this plant never really got big or anything, didn't get much love and didn't have much soil to work with but the cutting is looking like a typical sativa beast.

I have a strain from Lesotho I might try next year, supposed to be a faster selection.

90+% of the durban around will finish near end of sept 45n lat
it smells like licorice/anise, potency is so so to pretty good high..it can make some great looking cola's
..the pure from africa durban is taller, later..like way into october, it can be a scorcher in the potency dept.
