well folks here we go, this is my attemt at FLO's mighty vertical setup. I come into this grow with a 1000w digital hps and a ebb&gro bucket system. so I added another 600w dig. and a pair of cool tubes which are cooled by 2 180 cfm booster fans. There is a shelf mounted at about 32" with 10 2.5G. buckets filled with hydroton. watering is taken care of by a 650 gph pump dripping 6 times a day for 15 mins. The run off from the upper shelf drain via a gutter back into the control bucket of the ebb&gro system then is pumped back to the 55g resivior. The bottom is all taken care off by the ebb system. So all in all i got 20 gdp's in the vert. with two moms in hempy buckets which are going tobe monsters there already 3 feet tall.

I would adjust the way the the bulbs are... as in move them so that most of the light is going to shine on the plants. The lower bulb is lighting up the sides of the pots real good and the upper bulb is lighting up the walls above the plants. The way the plants are sitting the main light is hitting just above and below them. Just a though man, I'm sure it will turn out good either way just my $0.02... Good luck :peace:

yeah tom i probably would be better but.... theres only 7 inches of room to move them, with the fans and cooltubes and ducting so i figured it'll be ok should be right on once they hit flower.

looks awesome bro, do you have a seperate veg area? you will probably need to veg those plants in the ebb n flow at the bottom for a couple months at least to take advantage of that vertical space. looks great man!

i plan on veggin them right there for maybe a month or so til they're about 12-15 inches. my last shoot with a flat i flipped at 20" and ended up about 5 inches above the highest part of the shelf. cant wait for these littel bitches to get settled in so ican start blasting them w/nutes and start seeing the 'ol inch a day growth. I'll keep up on post....... i think

well the ones on the top rack are going to get bigger than those on the bottom, or at least thats what it looks like from the pics.. i would suggest trying to move those buckets up a little bit, so that you dont have to veg as long.. it could be as easy as getting some 2x4's and cinder blocks.. just a thought

well it has more direct light as stated earlier, and to gain maximum efficiency, you will want the tops of the bottom plants to overlap with the bottoms of the top plants, and since they seem a tad larger than the ones on the bottom, and have better and more direct light, they will grow bigger faster, but if you have the room then go for it.. i would put the 1000w on the lower portion however, since they will have a larger root mass to support a bigger plant.. just my opinion though..

but it will take you a few runs before you figure out exactly what works for your space and strain, you may even decide to throw in another row, but just keep some of that in the back of your mind

as always your input is great i think i will flip the 1000 to the bottom and try to lower it as much as i can

damn loud those f'ers are like 6 bills plus a tank and regulator thats like a G. are there any cheaper ways of doing it like maybe 5-600 bucks. and no way am i filling a milk jug with sugar and yeast.

well you said doing it the right way the first time.

the only way to accurately monitor co2 is to get a controller. the one i linked you is more bang for ya buck, you get like 4 devices in one.

you can get by with just trying to calculate your co2 needs and go with a timer on the co2 tank and regulator.

they also make those co2 boost buckets if you want to use that and save up for the big deal

and yes, big boy 'done right' co2 will cost about 1 grand with right controllers and such.

well.... its been a while i just harvested and holy shit this room f'n rocks with the 1600w i pulled 3+ not including the two big ones in front also 3 of those clones never really rooted and ended up being like 6 inchs tall. so all in all i had 17 plants and 1600w and 3 lbs in just 10 weeks. sorry i lost my camera about a month into the grow so theres no pics. this is byfar the best way to use a small space . the grow area is only 5x6 and total roomis 5x9 the rest of the room is the rez.and filters ect.
