Dude!'s continuous DIY Aeroponics grow

This is my first go @ any kind of hydro. After a long look at what i feel like i can make work. I am going to go with a clone and flower aeroponic bucket system and an aeroponic flower system. All the plans for these systems are from right here on RIU. So, Thank you very much Stinkbud!! Its an even bigger thank you if it all works out.Ok, these clones are all takin from 3 AK-47 plants that where about 7 days into flower. All 3 are in hempy buckets now. 12 clones all rooting now. They are under a 400w MH light. I hope thats not to much. I plan on them being in the buckets for five weeks. Then on to the flower system. After pulling 12 more clones off of them. Oh btw they will be under a 600w HPS in the flower room. I am going to use AN Sensi Grow and Bloom parts A and B. Plus, AN Big Bud and Bud Blood for flower starters. Its my first go at the AN product.Im going to try to update at least twice to three times a week. Please feel free to comment, ask ?'s, give advise, or just look at what i hope is a great grow. I hate this time of a grow. Waiting on roots. I get all worried that there not going to root. So i checked them last night (day 7 or 8 in the bucket) and they are showing very very small roots in the beginning stages. So, i think it going ok!! I hope to have some good shots of roots by turkey day.

Good job on the setup bro. Is that just black plastic trash bags wrapped around PVC piping for your tent? Looks like it's working pretty good, if you lined the inside w/ mylar it'd be a lot brighter.

What strains are ya working with there? Looks like some kinda cross leaning toward the indica side. I want to see how these babies progress!

those are clones off of three hgs ak-47 plants. All the of the moms look diff????
Im going to line with mylar as they get good roots.

how ya gunna untangle all those roots after 5 weeks and move them?

The moms might look different due to variation is phenos, but this is exactly why one BUYS seeds...so there is no variation. But, alas it happens sometimes. Clone em all so you can keep the best one going. You won't know which one is the best till they're done and you've smoked em.

You should really line the inside of that flowering room with mylar bro, it's only like $20. It'll really help the light penetrate the canopy better.

Oh and since you do your plants pretty tallish I would strip the bottom third of the plants about 2 weeks into 12/12 to ditch the popcorn nugs and focus on the colas. Your last AKs turned out pretty fuckin' sweet even though they got seeded. The top colas were nice and fat. Lollipop em and you'll have even bigger top colas and a hell of a lot easier time trimming em all when they're done.

ive wondered about that. I am following another journal that a guy grow for med patients. He said its all good??? We will see. Im not going to let them go long.

ive got mylar. The tent is temp. It will be a 4x4 room lined in mylar or painted white. As soon as they show that there vegging i will have the room up.

That last seeded bud was bagseed. The three ak-47's that i have going is the first ive done. I hope there are no seeds!!! Thanks for the advise!

The clones are coming along pretty good. I think they could go alot faster. Maybe a bit more time with the new system and i can speed it up some. There are about half the clone that have very very small start of roots and the other half have good roots. For the first time i have to be happy about it. Here are some shots from last night.

i know. i know. ill get some pics up first thing in the morning. i have some clones that ive about give up on getting roots. ill snap some pics tonight and post to see what ya think!!

i seen that. i was wanting to check out your shots. it did that to me once and later it put them up?? maybe it will heal up for ya!

Well im a bit disappointed in myself. Ive never had a problem w/ clones rooting for me. Until now!! Im going to get it lined out!!! I just dont know what i will do to get there yet. Everytthing should be in line. Water temp 68-70. Room temp low 60ish hi 75ish. Ro water ph to 5.9 or so. Water pump is on 1 min off 4 min. Maybe im slow b/c i only dipped the clones in clone solution. Vita grow i believe. So there you have it. In the first pic you can see the ones that have good roots (there growing). About half of them have tiny roots starting. One has none yet and four or five have good roots. Here are the pics from last night. This is no more than day 20.

Most of them look banging. I've never used a DWC cloner before, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to not only dip the cut ends but also you're supposed to put some cloning gel in the water in the DWC reservoir area. I think that's what was holding you back.

Also, Vita-Grow is alright I guess, but you might want to look for a product that boasts a high IBA (indole-butric-acid) content. I use Rootech, and it's supposedly got the highest amount of IBA available on the market. The IBA is a compound that promotes root development probably by suppressing growth at the crown. I believe it's a gibberellin.

thanks dc. Ive been doing some studying today and i believe your right. Hopefully i can save these and correct from now on.

k so this post is from dec 1... how long have ur clones been in the cloner on this day??? mine have been in there for 10 days and i dont have any... whats ur misting cycle and res temps???

my bad.. im on my phone and its not as fast.. i see ur post above.. but at day 10 u saw roots eh???

yes the first to get roots was about 10 days and there a foot long now.
