They really are lunatics. I have never watched Duck Dynasty, but now I am going to have to give it a look while eating my Chick Fil A sandwich and painting on my Hobby Lobby, paint by numbers set.
so you support every form of bigotry possible, yet it is the other side who are the lunatics for correctly pointing out what a bigoted POS you are?

cool logic.

It seems that nowadays invoking religion or faith or the beliefs which arise from faith is akin to "hate speech" and cannot be tolerated by the so called progressives.
This harsh shouting down seems to be primarily aimed at Christians
oh, you poor, persecuted christians.

it must be tough to be christian in america.

get some perspective, you crybaby.

speech is still free. that inbred hick is free to state his retarded, bible based beliefs, and A&E is free to air or not air his show at their discretion.

put your fucking head back on and stop crying.
Technically, you are correct.
But you miss the point, as per usual.
The real crybabies are those who find the duck hunters opinion to be intolerable, and as a result want him off the air.

The only one being discriminated against is Phil.

He has a right to his opinion.

I hope the whole family dumps A&E and get picked up by someone who hates god less...
and A&E has a right to air his show or not.

that is called freedom of speech, and you are intolerant of people exercising their freedom of speech to condemn racists and bigots like you.

there already is one:

the ratings started off strong, and it was renewed for a second season, but now it has Jumped The Shark.

perhaps the inevitable spinoffs will be more successful?
calls obama a muslim, claims he is not racist.

aka "you don't like me telling fags to shut up, thus you're the bigot"

you fucking racists and bigots have some of the most tortured logic ever.
Dare I ask if you even read the piece?
Time magazine, by a gay writer.
Silly me.

Zomg, everyone who says all leftists feel this way or that way are about as retarded as saying what Phil said was wrong..
Don't you understand you're just as prejudiced as the very people you're trying to slam making blanket statements that everyone on the left feels this way or that way??
I'm so far to the.left it's not even funny, and I'm not even close to being offended by what was said it's not even funny.. do I agree with it? Umm, I'm an atheist, so the answer is a big no, but am I shocked that a southern Christian feels this way?? Of course not..

the point YOU were trying to make was that the real bigots are those who condemn this hick's bigoted, anti-gay speech.

that is the opinion that a racist/bigot would have.

anti-gay bigotry is anti-gay bigotry, and condemning that type of speech does not put you on the same level as the person who makes that hateful, anti-gay bigotry speech.

it is a torturing of logic meant to defend racists and bigots though, so no wonder you would use it.

i really don't care what he said, i just like how literally every racist and bigot on RIU is up in arms that he got taken off the air, calling it a violation of freedom of speech to take him off the air, saying that the people who don't like his bigotry are the real bigots, and professing their love for any other bigotry they can along the way.

Bucky I would defend your right to express any opinion whatsoever. I have no desire to muzzle your right to express your misguided views.
You seem intent upon muzzling any and all who dissent from your opinion.

Idk buck, I think you're wrong about this one..
These Christians are taught by the Bible that being gay is a sin.. of course I think this is retarded, this is why I hate most everything Christianity stands for, but this guy is just being a good christian in his book, standing up for what he was taught in the Bible ..
Is saying being gay is a sin wrong? Idk, I don't even believe in the word sin, so who gives a flying fuck if Christians say just because you're gay you won't get into fairy tale land..
News flash, fairy tale land is made up, and no one is going there ..live and let.live IMO, but hey, if people want.to.put.power into the word sin, that's on them.. for.me sin has as much power as hmm,, lemme think, saying that being gay is bubbalo .. its just a made up, meaningless word like sin in my eyes ..

Non sequitur, discrimation and free speech are two different things.
There is no question that Phil was discriminated against by voicing his personal opinion.
A&E is a private sector company and has the right to do what they want.
But so do the viewers of Duck Dynasty and they are letting their feelings be know as we speak.

BTW, I just stopped by a Chic Fil A yesterday, I hear their profits are better than ever.

there's a difference between muzzling bigots and shaming them.

i see no moral distinction between "he was just being a good christian" and "he was just being a good nazi".

when you lump in "being gay" with all the bad things america needs to get rid of, you're taking the first step.

you can be discriminated against for your free speech.

for example, i tend to think less of people who use their free speech to demean other people as "niggas", as you have done. that is a racist and morally reprehensible thing to say that betrays your blind hatred of an entire race of people.

and wanting to boost the bottom line of someone who not only abuses defenseless chickens, but who also donates to groups that speak out against condemning a "kill the gays" bill is pretty fucked in the head as well.

when will you get the message that america does not like racist, bigoted shit stains like you?

If a liberal actor got fired from a TV show for condemning Christianity, what would you have to say about it?

I've been told all US southerners are racist, GOP bigots with bad teef* and at least one STi. Is this not the case?

Shaming others can only be effective when you correct.
In this case you are grievousy mistaken.
what am i mistaken about?

the right wing republicans and conservatives of america are happy to defend bigotry because they themselves are racist, bigoted, xenophobic shit stains.

this thread proves it.

should i list some of the racist and bigoted things that the righties in the thread have said?
