Dubious Greenhouse Grow

They look beautiful

You can top them at any time, but don't wait too long. You don't want to do any topping after they start to bloom.
I'd do it in the next week or two, it will be too late after that.

They look really good right now, keep it up!

Peace

Today I topped a number of plants and also LST'd three others-- which haven't been topped. As this is my first grow, it is my first LST.

Does this look correct? Pics 1 and 2, are one LST'd plant. Pics 3-5 are another. Yes I did use a stick at the base of one-- how very neanderthal of me. The rest are just pics of the ones I topped.

Any tips, advice, or criticism on these LST'd plants is appreciated. Thanks.

I went back out the next morning to check on my LST'd plants, and they had already reoriented themselves to face up towards the sun! Not even 12 hours! They look pretty good and this should help them from getting bigger than the greenhouse they're in.

I also ordered my nutes for flowering. I'm going to use Alaska Morbloom, it has a N.P.K. of 0-10-10, and I picked up some grandma's unsulfured molasses too. I'll start inducing flowering on a couple plants in a few days using the black bag method.

If anyone has any tips or feedback about nutes I'm using or the method feel free to reply. Cheers, and thanks to all those who've been a ton of help.

So I bought some black trash bags-- .95 mil, and they're completely see through in the sun. I went back out and bought 2 mil., twice as thick, and you can still see through them in the sunlight! I need to see if doubling the bags works. I've got s little time as I'm still waiting on my nutes to arrive. I'm looking forward to inducing flowering and finding out how many females there are.

I also bought some wire framing that I'm going to put around the plant's, like a box. I'm thinking about cutting up the bags, combining them and double or triple layering them. Then using the combined bags like on large bag, or tarp, around the plants in the wire box. It's going to look pretty red neck, but I think it'll work. As long as they're in complete darkness for 12. I'll be happy. I know it's a commitment, but I'm willing and able.

Has anyone used this method to induce flowering? How long when I start this will it take for sex to show? Thanks.

5 ml black on one side white on the other poly plastics ;)..... grow supply shops (10'x100' roll=$100-120). Should have definite signs of sex by two weeks into induced flowering.

It's been about a week since the previous set of pics. These have all been LST'd and most have been topped. There's one that's refusing to be LST'd in pic 1-- it's been dominant since germination! How do they look?

They look great.

Don't worry too much about the Sun showing thru the bags. You shouldn't be using them when the direct sun is high. Only late in the evening & early in the morning. The Sun won't be directly over them. Your just stretching the night a little.

Good luck

I just got an email today saying that the ferts I ordered would not be available until September-- like I'm going to wait that long, yeah right! I was a little pissed that it took them almost two weeks to inform me, but at least my credit card has already been reimbursed.

So it looks like I'm going nute shopping tomorrow at a local greenhouse and nursery. I really hope they have something with a decent N.P.K. for flowering! Happy growing everybody.

This is the first one to look like it's sexing. Does this look like a male/hermie? They kind of look like pollen sacks but I'm not for sure if it's still to early to tell. Thanks!

Maybe try using one of them big trash cans to cover the plants .
Thanks cadillacjack, I actually pondered that but I would need way to many trash cans-- not to mention it cost quite a bit. I'm not sure I'd have enough room in the greenhouse either. Thanks for the reply, cheer bud.

Yeah those are some rather big balls aren't they. It saddens me that I've got to kill the guy, but tomorrow is d-day. Damn balls.

On a less sobering note, I checked my plants today and I've got one that looks like it might be a female! I'll take some pics and post them tomorrow. Let me know what you guys think, and thanks for the help. Cheers people, and happy growing.
