Drying... where I live is very humid - any suggestions

I am still a month away from harvest but this will be my first harvest.

I live in costa rica where it is quite humid and hot etc... I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a cool dark place to dry them...

I know it has to be cool to prevent mold... but does it have to be dark - maybe I got that wrong...

anyways they were cloned inside and then moved outside - they get about 10 hours of DIRECT HOT ASS SUNLIGHT everyday.

I do have a darkish place I can hang them outside in this little overhang area I have but I am wondering if that will be too hot etc and if I really should have them dry inside?

I would prefer to not dry them inside because of the smell.

thanks

higher humidity is better for drying because the slower they dry the better the taste will be,
you can dry them outside with no problem but try and find a cool area.

Monkz I bet you never lived anywhere humid. I grew up in the desert and moved to a town on the coast. I found you can't hang dry clothes out side and get them dry.
I think I would keep a fan moving and watch them. I'm back in the desert now and never tried to cure on the coast.

Just wonder if you can hang dry clothes outside? I never got used to everything wet all the time. the first weekend I lived there they got 9" of rain in two days. lol thats more rain then I see here in a year. I lived in the U.S rain forest. the olympic penicillia. Don't think I spelled that right.

lol ye i get what your sayin, maybe a de-humidifier in a cool room would work better?
if smell is the issue you could buy some ONA if you cant invest in a carbon filter

lots of fans blowing indirectly on your buds also i suggest drying in vented boxes or paper bags in my opinion they suck the moisture out of the buds
