Drying Out In Box With Newspaper

My plant will be ready for harvest in a couple of weeks and this time around i have no closet space to hang the buds up to dry! My boyfriend told me that i could use a cardboard box with newspaper on the bottom, lay the buds ontop then put a couple more pages of newspaper ontop of them and just rotate them everyday..is this effective at all? im thinking it might leave the buds more prone to mould, but im guessing if i rotate them they should be fine..anyone else heard of/using this method??

Thanks in advance guys :)

Yeah that method would work, just remember to rotate as much as you can. If you do not rotate then mold will likely form! goodluck :-P

I do this but with a brown bag instead of newspaper - great results everytime, no mold. Enjoy the harvest!

You should worry about not drying too fast than having mold after harvest if you're planning to cure in jars. You said you got weeks so do some planning now -somehow create a dark cool environment with air circulation to hang your buds in. Your better off not using paper bags and cardboard anything because they suck precious moisture out too quick and they just plain suck to use.Worry about the mold during the curing stage.

hey guys, sorry its taken forever to reply ive had some stuff going on at home..i ended up putting them all in a cardboard box and rotating them everyday, i did find they dried out pretty fast (2 weeks) and went a little too crispy but i moved them straight to the jars and they've been perfect so far, they moistened up abit and havent had any mould either :)
