Drying in Rental Storage Unit

Hey folks,

I got some really nice monster plants outdoors right now. 9 to be exact. They're Northern Lights and Lockstock. They should yield nicely; from the nine plants together I'm expecting at least a couple pounds of dried pot, if not more.
My issue is that it looks like I may be living with my parents for the fall, and they don't want me drying large amounts of marijuana in their house. I'm now trying to figure out the second best option for drying this stuff. One idea I came up with was renting a self-storage unit nearby. Anybody have experience with this? If I rented one for a month, it'd give me what I assume would be a secure, locked up, dry space with some degree of temperature control where I could hang up my nine plants worth of chronic. Do these storage units get searched or inspected though? Would I be walking into a bust by doing this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or knowledge!

Hmm I've thought about that, but I don't know of a great way to dry them outside. I guess I could just bring out a camping tent and set it up in the woods near where they are and hang the buds up inside the tent? It seems like the huge temperature variation would fuck with the potency...

Please man, do yourself a favor and don't rent a storage locker to dry these.

You might not be surprised, but doing time is not fun.

temps wont matter... string up some clothes line between trees and hang them for 5 days and then u can trim them down into bags or jars for burping. or even a large rubbermaid bin

That's an excellent suggestion.

Keep them out of the light, in-between trees during a time when you know its not gonna rain for a couple of days.

It's what I'm doing for my outdoor harvest. :-)

man Mr. Duke u are a genius how high were u when u thought of that idea its def not an idea u get when sober

u can always buy one those like snap together sheds set it up in backyard or sumthin dry it out then rip her down then wash and spray to get scent off if it smells like chrons and take her back

always pay in cash too if they ask for ID use a fake or just be like bitch i no my rights now give me that dam trailer.............

I know someone who got busted that way DON'T DO IT...he is sitting with me know shakin his head go with the tent or snap together shed anything but the storage unit.....like someone else said doing time sucks...

ya, ur best bet is the storage shead. you should get a very good pad lock for it though with massive hinges. just incase sum1 tries to get in it.

You can't use a storage or you will be going to jail for sure!! If not jail the people running the storage unit will steal it or report you!! Don't be ignorant, these people go in the units all the time and it is legal!! :)

You can buy real nice, secure storage sheds at Home Depot that don't cost alot. The money is worth it!! DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT!! YOU WILL BE ARRESTED!!!

I wouldnt recommend drying in the light, light will bleach your product an reduce quality.

Buy a cheap tent from walmart, camo it, throw it in the woods.

YA the uhall idea sounds like a much better option. At least then you have some kind of control. But i dont recomend driving it anywhere with the weed in it. State Troopers love pulling over uhaulls!

Drying outside in the shade = my favorite way to dry. As long as its not raining or like 90% humidity, I always dry outside. If your parents don't mind and you have a shady spot, hang lines between trees and dry there. If this isn't an option than I vote for the U Haul trailer idea ;)
