Aight, so I have a harvest coming in about 2 weeks. Due to odor, im wondering if i could hang dry in my garage? Im in the midwest where its currently starting that whole blizzard storm.
I can dry in my grow room, but will the lights and temp screw it all up? Or am I better off going to the dark, very cold garage?? + rep for real answers..

It's actually quite simple: You can do the same thing I have been doing for years now- You make a roll down 'curtain' out of White/Black Panda poly film. This is a heavy guage plastic sheet that is just what it sounds like- Bright white on one side and black on the other. In your grow room you make a large curtain that extends across the narrow part of your room (or just a corner). I have some white Closet Maid wire rack shelving I bought at Home Depot that swings out from the wall. I hang my harvest from these racks and then roll the 'curtain back down in front of them. This does 2 things: I can 'dry' my harvest in my flower room (where humidity is genreally lower anyways- (during flower you want it to be) and my smelly harvest is taken care of by my carbon scrubber (already scrubbing that same room). The bright white side of the Panda film reflects alot of light back into the room, and the other side stays nice and dark... just what you need for drying! It does not take that much room to dry your budz this way as the room is multi-purpose AND multitasking! Has worked awesome for me for years! Give it a go! :)

When the budz are dry enough, I roll the curtain back up, remove my budz and swing the shelves back up against the wall. You can string nylon masons string or wires across the area as well and hang from those if you want.

if you dry them in the garage, they will probably dry too fast. I live in the midwest, and all the rapid temperature and humidity changes would not be good. I always have to remember to grab my herb out of my car in the winter or ill come back and it will be dry as fuck. As i write this, its 3 degrees out, and the buds would certainly give off tons of moisture until they froze pretty quickly. Plus i wouldnt want to smoke herb that had taken on "garage" odors. I'd find a way to do it indoors. maybe build a drying box out of a rubbermaid tub and keep it in the flowering room, in a corner away from the light?

Thx guys! I forgot about this post cause nobody responded. I grow perpetual. But i found a small rolling cart on craigslist last night. It fits under my flower table perfect. I ripped the back off. Now im gonna put brackets on the inside walls. Then putting window screen in it. I think i can put 8 racks perfectly. Cover with some panda plaStic, leaving breathing room of course. Walaahh.
Thx for the input guys, i totally forgot about this thread. + rep!!
