Drying and curing questions

2 weeks till harvest. Looking great to me as a first time grower. Question is how long to dry and cure in glass jars? I am thinking 7 days to dry and 14 days to cure which puts it in Christmas day. And go

I would recommend surfing the "Harvest and Curing" section of this board...

But to simply answer your question...hang dry and/or rack dry in 70*, 55-60% rh. about 5 to 7 days but closer to 5 days when you feel the outside of the flowers to be "crinchy" but will still spring back when squeezed and when you bend your stems they will bend and Crack but not snap.

Jar up with a hygrometer and start your cure at 65% rh. It will likely take at least 24 hrs to get to a base RH. if higher than 65%, say 70% that is OK, nothing higher tho, just take the flower out of the jars and let em sit out for 24 hrs. Re jar and see where your RH ends up.

If you let eml dry too long and you jar at 55% or lower your cure process is done! There will be no cure!

And yes, the cure process is just that, a process that takes time. at least 30 days and more for quality cure

Cheers

I'd like to add that you can get some vaping done after about a week of cure. In reality, drying is all that's necessary, but you want to make sure that none of it is wet. So, if you have the ability to vape, x-mas could still work.
