If you dry trim...then my weed is more potent then yours hands down! This is why....

You absolutly get none of this when wet trimming. Trics do NOT fall off when wet trimming . Also, you get a better tighter trim with wet trimming. I think I lost about at least ounce dry trimming this OG 18..what a huge loss. 1st time dry trimming...never again!!

Ok so the theory is that cutting a limb off and hanging it to dry and doing a slow drying process gives you better weed...well...fuck that theory. For 5 years I been wet trimming, cutting the buds down as far as they go and then laying them on my mesh tier rack to dry for 3 days and then jarring them up. I pop the jar 6-8 hrs after jarring for the 1st time. If there is any moisure left then they go back on the rack for 8 hrs and then back to jar. Then I pop every 8 hrs thereafter. I also roll the jar around making sure none of the buds are sticking. Around day 2 of being in the jar the smell starts to pop and then cpl days after its ready to go to patients. Outdoors takes a longer cure bc of all the leaves (chlorophyll) needs to break down longer.
People think a slow dry is where its at, but its not. Its an old method and the wrong method. If you do this method, you are already into the curing process essentially. You are hanging it in the dark and the chlorophyll is starting the breaking down process. so thats why you think your weed is better, but in fact mines better, its breaking down faster in the jar. And the trics arnt falling off of mine as they are yours when you try to trim it.

Soooo...

What you're saying is if you're selling it then you want to dry trim but if you're not selling it then wet trim?

Also, when you are wet trimming the tricomes still come off they just stay stuck to your trimmings, I honestly don't believe there's any such noticeable difference.

I trim all the fan leaves off wet, I wait until it is mostly dry before trimming sugar leaves, I also disagree with a three day dry, every time I get plants to dry in under a week it tastes like green and smokes harsh. Just my methods and experiences, your mileage may vary :) BB

When i trim dry i try to catch it before its bone dry. I tear down in sections to give me time to get to it all before its over dry. Then it will fall all over. I run a humidifier while hanging to keep rh up as well.

those arnt trics from just the sugar leaves...thats from grinding on a dry bud. I disagree that wet trics fall off or fall onto trim

I never said anything about tricomes falling off. They just come off while staying attached to what is being trimmed off (in a wet trim). And yes while trimming dry you can lose a bit of the tricomes however if using a grinder to break your weed up it has the same effect thus nutrilizing any differences between a dry trim and a wet trim as far as potency goes. In fact breaking your weed up in any way is bound to cause trichome loss.

You're arguing the difference between apples and oranges here. It's all preference.

Eta. Traveling any bud will also cause trichome loss thus leading me to the conclusion that by the time it makes it wherever it is going the difference between a wet trim and a dry trim is negligible. It's dissapointing to see anyone attempting to shove their opinion down another individuals throat as is apparent in the op.

You can trim them wet and dry them slow.

That's what these are for...mostly everything I do gets sifted anyway..so I like dry trimming...when it's done hanging while my buds cure and I sift some sugar leaves up and it gives me a test of the strains profile at its best..First bounce sifting all day..200 lpi-110 lpi to catch all size of trichs
