You can buy 10 pounds of MKP for what it costs for a pound of that MOAB. It's a joke. Everything these cannabis specific nutrient companies sell can be had for a minimum of half the price usually much less from one of many companies that sell bulk nutrients. Everything comes from the same factories unless it's some organic nutrient and even then all those ingredients can be found for much less as well. It might not come in a shiny bottle with a fancy label but it's the same stuff. None of these nutrient companies actually manufacture the chemical fertilizers in their products. They buy them in bulk from the same places anyone else can.

True that. I originally bought the MOAB as it was more inexpensive than the H & G Shooting powder wich I think is also the same thing. I bought 3 lb of it and it was inexpensive compared to the H&G, what I am looking for at this point is a mix that is not only cheaper but maybe with a few other proflower ingredients. My problem is I do fairly small grows 3 pounds has lasted me almost 2 years. So I don't need 10 pounds at a time of any Nutrient.

I grow in coco but I still use Greenleaf's Sweet Candy in addition to the Mega Crop for veg and flower and I add Bud explosion for flower. Greenleaf says that's sort of redundant but my plants seem to love it. They've changed the formulation several times in the last year+ so I don't honestly know which version of the 1 part Mega Crop I've got.
I suggest using Botanicare Ca-Mg if you use Mega Crop. It's the only one I've found that had 2% N in it's formation.

I used MC and Botanicare on a run together. The Botanicare CalMag is listed as 2-0-0. I'm not sure which one you were referring to. The combination left my grow extremely healthy but super green and almost nitrogen toxic. Fed up to 1.8 EC in flower with MC, Bud Explosion, and CalMag.

I just remember that the Greenleaf Ca-Mg was 13% N - which was WAY too much for me.

Buddhas Tree Organicus liquid all in one grow and bloom. 1ml per ltr is the usual dose for me which is even less than the lowest recommended dose.

Ecothrive Charge granules/powder which is a natural soil conditioner and biostimulant. I mix it in with my soil from starter pots to final pots.

Nothing else at all. Cheap as chips and very simple to create monsters.

No need for all the fancy bloomers with high price tags that do fuck all except fleece you.

Buddhas Tree Organicus and Ecothrive Charge is as simple as it gets for me.

I used the gh flora series (Lucas formula) and I feel it worked great! I'm very happy with the final product it produced. I believe I'm going with jacks 321 on my next one though.

I'm using megacrop + recharge and my plants look pretty healthy. Its my first grow but so far so good.
Why do you suggest adding something extra? Do you not think it has everything that is needed?

Coco tends to need some extra Ca-Mg to properly condition it. In addition, I've found that some strains like some epsom salts (1g/gal) added during the first few weeks of veg. Adding Sweet Candy (1g - 1 1/2g /gal) was initially just an experiment. I add it after about 2 weeks of veg and continue until flush. I think it does seem to enhance the flavor and since I'm getting about 2lbs dry from 4 plants under a Fluence Spydr 2p with no CO2, I'm inclined not to change much. During flower I add Bud Explosion starting in pre-flower and continue until flush.

Would you recommend using either bud explosion or sweet candy? What does the epsom salt do?

Whatever has the most colorful label, best sounding name, and prettiest pictures. If they had Sweet Candy Bud Explosion, I'd get that one.

Mega Crop is a great nutrient through veg, but it's paired great with Bud Explosion in flower.

I just play along with the joke, I'm fine with a little comic relief haha.
Perhaps on my 2nd grow I will try out the bud explosion if it helps.

I got this from another site. This is from the manufacturer. So Bud Explosion basically sounds like MKP with some Epsom salts.

Bud Explosion is a concentrated PK booster with Mg and Sulfur as well, works well for pure hydroponic systems since it is fully soluble and all pure salts. Sweet Candy is basically Bud Explosion + it has a lot of organic ingredients, and soil conditioners, sugars, plant extracts. Its less concentrated as a pure PK booster, but also has large organic particles that can benefit the soil and improve your media, as well as carbohydrates which can help benefit microbes.
Since hydro-focused systems don't really benefit from microbes as much, and also don't benefit from organics, then Bud Explosion is a better choice for more pure hydro-grow systems.
Sweet Candy is a better choice for soil/living media type systems.

I use mega crop for veg and for flower I drop the dosage to 3grams a gallon mc and a tiny bit of flower fuel pk booster 1-32-34. also calmag+(hempy)

Since I use soil perhaps the sweet candy is the better choice then.

So exactly as I posted earlier, Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion are somewhat redundant. That said, the plants seem to love it in my coco hempies so I think I'll keep using them
