LOL, you guys should see the movie "Religulous" with Bill Maher. I no longer have to argue with religious people. I just tell them to go see that movie and you will understand my opinion of religion exactly. It's exactly what you guys are saying. Why would god give us these powers of intellect and reason and then expect us not to use them? I'm not saying there is no god, it is just IMPOSSIBLE to know so people that pretend they do piss me off.
I did see riligulous, great movie, I love bill maher hes a cool dude, it pretty much epitomizes how atheists feel...and I just love he constantly pointed out how dumb and hypocritical religions can be...

I agree with everything except the atheist part. I don't consider myself an atheist and I'm pretty sure Maher doesn't consider himself one either. We simply prefer to keep our options open. The existence of god is indeed very possible but in the form depicted in most major religions it is highly improbable. How can they all be right? Hmmm. But if you wish to define god as a creator of the universe (and possibly what lies beyond) then certainly there must be one. Anything beyond that including his "will" or the fact that he even cares about our tiny little world among the trillions of galaxies in the universe is pure speculation/wishful thinking/misguided attempts to make yourself somehow better than the "nonbelievers". So yea I'm totally with you except for what many would call semantics. Doubt does not make you an atheist.

I get what your saying...and I dont either like the exact definition of athiest...I am indeed just like you, from now on I will call myself a "non-believer", I just say athiest in order to get my point across that I dont believe in any of these religions on our planet lol

"Agnostic" I believe is the best term.

"The one principle linking all meanings of "Agnostic" is that God's existence can neither be proved nor disproved, on the basis of current evidence. Agnostics note that some theologians and philosophers have tried to prove, for millennia, that God exists. Others have attempted to prove that God does not exist. Agnostics feel that neither side has convincingly succeeded at their task."

i dont like hypocrites,i think religion has become such a money sucking whore, and the people involved, that give their 10% and are driving piece of crap cars, are blind, and brainwashed, while the preacher is driving a beemer,, ,i grew up that rock dancing kid, untill i was about 12 years old, then i saw how it really was. people, drinkin, smokin, and fightin, then on sunday, they become, perfect angels again., what a crock., i saw this at 12 years old., that and some other things that have happened have made me only believe in things that are real, not things i imagine.

yeah it varies, it definitly can get hot in cali, and some rural areas are very dry and desert-like as Poplars said, but where Im at it can change alll the time, sometimes its hot, sometimes its moist...this morning we had a light rain, even though the last couple days have been hot as fuck...
I'm where its desert like. But I wouldn't call it rural. Its never
dry for me. My dealer is a 10 min walk away from my house.

But yes, the humidity in SoCal is very low. I dunno about NorCal
