Okay been talking to my "maybe brother-in-law" and he said hes heard but not actually tried or seen proof. that if you harvest some clippings and take the clippings immediately and wrap them with a towel and put them in a box of dry ice coverd and put them in a freezer they'll change color. I've never seen or heard this before but im about to harvest again in about a week or so, im probly gonna try it but if anyones done it before and has feedback thatd be righteous.

i have heard of putting plants into shock by putting them in a cold climate right before harvest which turns them purple. (this is often what turns plants purple is stress.. so yeah this might work... i would try it before even taking a clipping,.. like put it on a cola or rip it out of the dirt and put the dry ice to the roots ( once you are ready to harvest!) and see what happens..

I'll try that. intresting thought of straight to roots, does trying the dry ice do anything else or just change the color?

yeah cold weather will turn some plants purple becuase it like blocks a cetain nutrient uptake the plant need to be green but once its cut down i wouldnt see that working too well your best bet would be to lower the temp in your grow room for a few weeks before harvest

I've tried to freeze my bud overnight in the freezer before hanging to dry like normal. The gradual freeze will create ice crystals that will puncture the cell walls and cause the liquid inside to escape. I Saw it once on a cooking show how they used dry ice to quick freeze fruit to avoid that.. So I tried it with some bud and it worked perfect. The bud dries in less than 5-7days and it tastes great. It had a real citrus flavor.
