Dry ice hash - What'

I second sprung bags(think I already mentioned these). Been using them for a few years now with no probs, too many runs to count.

I'd go with a 220. According to this video, the higher grade hash comes out first so you will need a longer surface. Start at one end and work your way over.

Why not just do it in a bucket?

If your not worried about separating the different grades like in the video, then go for it. I tried in a large bole, and it worked fine until it came time to scrape the hash up. Maybe a bucket would be easier with less curves than a bole.

Try it out and let me know. I'm all for experimentation and refining techniques!

I saw fdd do it and he got some good results, besides it's so much easier of a cleanup and whatnot.

He stated in that thread that he was making cannabutter and honey oil with his yield, so he wasn't worried about separating the different grades.

Neither am I really, I'd rather get more hash with the 220 micron bags. Personal opinion of course.

If that's the route you want to take than have at man.

Personally I was thinking of taking a mylar security blanket, holding up the sides to form a half pipe(to keep the dust from spilling over), shaking from one end of the pipe to the other and then let the sides down to scrape up the yield. I'm fine with all of it mixed together, which is what I did a week ago...still tastes great. My next run, I will be separating into 2 grades...best grade will be for smoking, and the other will be butter fodder.

I'm actually interested in that technique and these finer grades now. What bags would you recommend getting?

Yes, less veg matter will fall through at the beginning and more and more towards the end as the dry ice shreds the plant material into almost a powder.
