if you're fully dried, crisp herb is hard on the lungs, the problem lies in the flush or in the cure. flushing removes the majority of leftover nutrients in the plant, but if 20% or more of the leaves are still green when it's cut down then it still has too much left in it. the reason for curing is to remove the last few traces of nutrients, and also change THC from it's inactive, acidic form to it's active neutral form. basically, curing makes pot smoke smoother, taste better, and get you higher. harsh smoke comes from buds which were either improperly flushed, improperly cured, not fully dried, or in few cases the grower left too many leaves on it so you're smoking chlorophyl. my buds come out of curing crisp, clean smoking, and they'll stick you're fingers like glue.
