Hi

Does anyone use drip irrigation ?

I'm looking for info on it.

Post some pics of your setups please.

Much appreciated

Instead of drip (which never has a pause to let roots dry) I top feed via Hydro Halo Drip rings on a digital (deep cycle) timer

Roughly 30 seconds on/30 minutes off. It just depends on pump gph. I use Air Pots + polished ornamental rock from Dollar store

I plan to, haven't gotten around to getting it all set up yet though. I'll be running a 5 gallon bucket to 6-8 1-2 gallon pots every 3 days or so. Haven't decided if I'll use my gravity system or if the cheapo pump I got will work.

Should have it up and running in about 2-3 weeks, if I remember I'll post back pics with the set up.

I use Claber Oasis drip systems (2). My last grow I grew 24 plants in 3 stages of flowering in 24 2-Litre Coke bottles. One of the drip systems manages 16 of the smallest plants, the other one does the 8 largest. I think I introduce my Claber systems on page 2 of my "Current" grow link in my sig.

Gravity fed is all about elevation and water level.

http://www.irrigationdirect.ca/docs/Gravity Feed Irrigation Systemss For Vegetable Gardens and Organic Crops.pdf

This is the place I based my DIY system off of.

I know my gravity system at 5 feet will have the PSI to get to the 8 plants, it's if the little $10 can do that many, I only tested with 2 2GPH dripper heads.
Great info thanks.

Yep the gravity fed system needs height in order to have enough psi but I also have adjustable drippers so i can independently set each one. It may take a while to setup correctly but I'm positive it's worth it.

Thanks for the link. I'll read it now.
