Dried out top cola? What should i do?

OK so i have a question, one of my plants nearer to the back on the tent the outside of the buds on the main cola are becoming crunchy on the outside but still somewhat gooey, what does this mean?

It is farther from the light than some of the others, the cool tube and inline fan keep it nice and cool and it is far enough away from the plants to prevent any drying out.

It appears approx 80-90% of the hairs have gone amber on this particular cola, the outside leaves and bud are dry and the calxy's are still sticky and damp.

Any ideas why this might be happening and what would be the best thing to do?
harvest this one plant? let it go longer?

The best way i can describe how it feels is like its perfect timing to start curing in a jar......

I would prefer if it bulked up a bit, but i don't want to leave it for too long if it might be something else like bud rot or something.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pic#1 is the dried up plant,
Pic#2 is of the same drying plant
Pic#3is of the scrog (see it way in the back its the smallest one thats all dried up compared to the others LOL)
Pic#4 if only the light pink on the tips of the calyxs came through on that pic.

pull off a piece of the dried bud and look for bud rot, which will look like mold and rot where bud attaches to stem

from what i can see it looks and smells normal, very hairy and hairs are all amber/brown, the calyx's haven't swelled and the bud is quite airy.

i have attached a picture.

My plants are all outside and because of the crazy heat wave, sometimes a few buds will dry out and die. It's a lot like how you can have a rose bush, but not every single rose looks perfect and healthy.

It looks like you spotted the problem in time. I usually do a daily inspection and if I catch it early, I pluck and jar asap just like you did. If I fail to miss it then that part of the flower dies and becomes very brittle. What I do then is pinch and crush it off. I try to leave as much of the fresh bud as I can. Most of the time it's just the tips that fry.
