It is a 4ft plant 5ft with pot, here is my setup. Yes the plant is N toxed, yes it's limping on 6 cyl
Looking at my setup, which is bigger than most 20 gal aint gonna work here or for most other folks unless your outside. Perpetual grow that keeps me in meds

This is one of the few times I have had issues and using the bottom of the nute bottles may have had a stronger concentrate and this strian.

Thank You all for your help ;)

man ive looked at so many fertilizers as of late im confusing myself

i was just looking at someone elses botanicare grow and got mixed up
sorry about the confusion on the topic of organic fertilizer and pot size

thinking your nutes where organic..brain fart

i wouldn't have suggested a #20 if i wasnt mixed up

been sick heads a little foggy

I been messing up on math also lol

One of the problems I have with Fox Farm nutes are the solids, you can shake your ass off and they dont stay suspended very long, bottom of the bottle is thicker, just opened a new bottle of Big Bloom, shook to hell and back and it was a lite, thin brown, bottle I just finished was getting soupy and thick.

No problem im4satori, I'm sure your right about the N toxicity.

Dont ask me about the time I confused teaspons and Tablespoons and converted to milliliters ;)

I don't see why youd want to grow a plant that size and flower it in such a small container when a 10 gallon container would be superior ...its not like a 10 gallon smart pot is heavy or take up to much space

not saying it cant be done but not sure why youd want to work more for it

6 weeks veg my 5 gallon pots are solid masses of root

Im veggin 8 weeks organic

I put them in the 20 gallon pots 2 weeks before 12/12 by the time im done the roots are growing thru the smart pots on all sides..and they require water every 2nd or 3rd day

just not sure why you want to restrict it
especially knowing a plant grows wider if it has a wider pot and root mass is related to yield in soil

I stand behind everything I said except my getting confused over the fertilizer derived from info....

but to each there own

I have good reason. I have low ceiling height to the point that every inch counts and the plants will likely grow bigger if I use bigger pots.

Also restricting the sativa heavy hybrids a little helps keep the flowering time shorter and the plant manageable in my space.

I have been thinking of using the #5 wide pots for stability though. Mine are getting tippy. I will only fill them a few inches down though. I fill the 3's to the top. I only want maybe 1/2 gallon more at most.

If I relied on organic inputs I would agree with a larger pot to hold more nutrients. I fertilize when it's time.

I noticed a lot of sediment in the big bloom. But my other problem is the nutes seem out of balance and burn plants easy.

And they don't include all elements in both other bottles. You have to use them all to be complete really.

Here is my new girl in a 10gal pot and she is in her 29th day of flowerView attachment 3985708
Like IAM said big pots big roots big buds!!!!

Nice work. Great plants!

My average is 150 grams in a #3. I try to run 4 per 600w light. 8 total although sometimes full with 6 or 7.

I plant a Fem seed or clone every 10 days or so now and harvest a plant every week or two.

Exactly what i am starting to do except i dont need to harvest that often, i grew this plant for 60 days took 5 clones from her which are vegging under a 600w led currently in 5 gal pots, once this one is doen i will pull a clone of each one then flower these clones and so on, hope to get a perpetual going where i can harvest a lb every 40 to 50 days.

tell us how your feeding

I know your using the tiger bloom and some EWC

and getting some extra N somewhere... cant recall at the moment..man I don't thinkj I realized how bad I feel.. my memeory is fucked at the moment

I seem to recall the foxfarm nutes either not containing much in the way of calcium or not listing the calcium content within the 3 part

We got usually 18 to 22 oz avg every 5 weeks or so on this system. But tons of variety as I mostly use seeds I know and can put in other plants here and there to experiment with other breeders stuff.

I do it this rediculously time consuming way to stay within Michigan plant count and meds on hand.

The only great part is the trimming is spaced out.

Question about his feeding this plant to harvest. I thought this early on. I feel his best shot from this point on is to use something like the gh trio to finish the plant. Turn this plant into a hydro grow. I don't think the ff nutes are going to have as good of a finish.

@HDPursuit Where do I go to put what you have under your posts:
If you aint learning you aint growing, if you aint growing you aint learning
I have tried the status box the about yourself box and don't know were to put the text for that, I eventually want to create a grow journal link.

My yield don't match up to you guys. I usually am happy with 2 OZ avg in 3 gallon pots. I grew 7.5 OZ in 3 gallon once but those buds were not impressive other than size. It was a grow about 4 years ago that I switched to GH trio to finish but like his plants my plants were not healthy. 7 foot sativas. They never really finished after 17 weeks and I conceded defeat and moved on. Threw most of them away, not even good for hash.

I would leach the pots with fresh tap water. No ph adjusters. Maybe a gallon or whatever to good runoff.

Then I would put another mix in with maybe 25% of the balanced transition formula. Like 50/50 grow/bloom and then Wait for them to dry out good and watch for improvement.

I keep my plants 30" tall from the soil under the 600's for best results. Tall plants don't do well with overhead lighting alone.

So maybe some bending is in order. These were all bent and tied down by week 2 to promote branching out.

Im4 only thing they are getting fed from a bottle is the Tiger Bloom very sparringly, I have top dressed with bat guano once for some added N right before flower but that is it everything is in the soil, I do water with recharge and add in the Fox Farms Microbial brew once every couple weeks and some epsom salt every couple weeks as well. Thats it.
