Ya it sure seems so lol. Kind if dissapionted in only two showing great progress but should have stuck with the RW for all. I've tried just putting seedlings directly into the balls but seemed even slower for my setup, should try again. I'm running plant starter right now and EC is at .4 with a base of .2ish. Thinking of putting the 400 i have above them soon but would need another reflector ..... Shit lol. Got to build another room as well. Gonna clone these and pick the best to run this year if they wow me. I've got a blueberry cross, and a mango that I want to try as well.....busy, busy lol. I'm also thinking this should have been a soilless grow as opposed to the sprayers. Sadly they were sold out of the H&G roots accelerator so I bought some other stuff I'll add in a few days and see. I've always kept it pretty simple with grow and then a mix of bloom but will try a few different things this run. Also just added beanies to the root zone (cubes).

is your ph low enough..like in the mid to high 5's?

but all in the tiny seedling need to make a few roots in those balls..

yes i would keep it simple until they green/grow up

i hate using rw but use it to start cuts all the time..never had any success with rapid rooters..but that's just me..

PH at 5.7-.5.8, I've had this issue with RW as well and pretty sure its excess water in the pods. I have removed the net pots from the tray and will water by hand until roots are present then put them back in. Hopefully they will recover, ones
really rough looking. There's a reason why I have 6 sites, the culling may happen this time lol no sense of growing runts for cloning. I would like a decent yield off the first grow though. Didnt get a stellar crop this summer so will be running out. I'll put up a pic of the problem children later. Thanks for keeping up OMS, I will, no doubt, have many questions.

Not very proud of this one lol. Pretty sure it is the copper screen I used for the drain and removed it today. So far this is the worst one yet. Not blaming the strain though, all on me this time. Still running 5.7-.8 and 400 EC. Looking at getting a 400 to veg under for a bit before the 600's. The roots are developing nicely so expecting these things to start to fly soon.

So I've removed the copper screen, changed lights to all t5 sunblaster 6500's and refilled res, added 60 ml grow, 30 ml of root nutes, and now I wait.

do you have experience with your hydro method?

Yes but I have changed a few things this run. Their not burnt, its something else, but not sure what. I've put everything back to the normal setup. Yes I hope they rebound, I've lost a week of growth now. I'll post up some pics again tommorow. Thanks for stopping in.

Think I found the problem of the slow growth. Not the whitest root system I've seen. Never had this before so not sure what to do. Been throwing the beans at it since day 1. May try some hydrogen peroxide. Any thoughts people? Also gonna setup a chiller of sorts this weekend using an outdoor coil to circulate glycol through a heat exchanger, temps are in the 70-71 range.

So it's been a while huh!!! I have been busy trying to save these girls from a slow death and think I've passed the hurtles for now. I'll get some pics up re root difference in 40 days of throwing everything I had at it. Still the problem is there just keeping it at bay I think. Temps here are extremely warm and chiller relies on outdoor ambient being cold which it's not lol. Was plus 10 yesterday and is typically minus 2-3.

Here they are at 6' tall and way out of control lol. 2 weeks at 12/12. I was waiting till I was sure they were healthy before putting them into flower and yup they got healthy lol. I've had to crop the biggest and the canopy is way uneven. Took eight clones last weekend and all rooted within 10 days and six are in a tray and two gifted to a fellow grower who will clone enough for a spring outdoor grow. Thanks guys for the help, hopefully in 6 weeks I'll have some nice fresh smoke, been buying some but it's not the same as my own .

Trying out a new setup for the clones with basically a fountain shooting water into the upper tray, the first few days the water level was kept 3" above bottom of net pots and now it's just bellow the bottom so we'll see how this works. I liked the sprayers but trying something new lol.

Thanks for looking in OMS, seems not so much interred lol. That's ok, it's more because I'm seeing lots of doubt about his seeds that I'm finishing this. Be they're good or bad I'll post the results but so far other than the initial set back (my fault) I'm pretty happy so far.

your grow skills started out looking good..
but there are problems surfacing.. and it sure ain't the seeds..
hydro like you are doing takes knowledge..
let one part of it down and you get problems
you let them get too big ..you can't control it , you got root rot and who knows what else..

Oh their doing well but yup a few setbacks all due to me lol. Yes they got big, really big . I can deal with that and just hung another light actually. The clones should get me back on track as they are doing well. I hope to get a few going outdoors as well but the size scares me. Don't want 14' foot plants in my back yard lol. What problems do you see surfacing ...... Ahhhh, don't need anymore problems lol. I actually thought they were doing pretty good other than the size. I'm hoping they are done the majority of the vertical growing cause yup they'v e literally hit the roof.

Yup fours years of doing this setup and all hell breaks loose. The rot was an eye opener re hydro as I never had it before. I guess that's were experience comes in. It's easy to go merrily along and grow great plants, thinking you got er down but when shit happens the boys get separated from the men quickly lol. If nothing else it was a really good learning experience and won't happen again lol. Got me thinking about going back to dirt actually lol

Here's the latest pic, although it's a crap picture, other than to big, can you see anything I need to take care of, before I get in a shit load of trouble again. I'll try and get another pic tonight when I go out and tie branches down, have to do that nightly.
