I think I may have overused the Dr Bronners Peppermint oil and neem oil. I have 5 plants of different genetics all growing strong outdoors in Soil King Big Roots soil. I started to see a spider mite here and there but nothing crazy so I wanted to get ahead of it so I got Dr Bronners and used the recipe according to the label for a plant spray. I used 2 tablespoons per gallon of the peppermint soap and also 2 tablespoons of neem oil and sprayed it through my Hudson atomizer. After reading what others use 2 Tbs seems like too much.
I sprayed all these healthy plants a few days ago and now I’m seeing the new growth on the plant is distorted and mutated looking.
I’m going to let it grow a bit and see if the new growth from after the spray is normal. I did some searches of other folks asking about nutrient problems, PH, etc and they also mentioned just spraying peppermint soap and neem and found photos of plants that look just like mine. What are the chances that all 5 genetics are all doing the same and not caused by this peppermint spray? I guess I need to back off on this Dr Bronners recipe.
Has anyone else had this issue?
