Your not gonna get much bud from a 6" plant. You have till November, I would grow them a little bigger and put them out the end of Sep. At least you'll get enough to be worthwhile.

Ok, back to greenthumb.
1. tools needed
2.ziptie close-up
3.view thru screen
4.additional bottom PVC rail.

First attach the Sun screen cloth pieces to the frame. The zipties will poke thru the screen anywhere. Don't use too many zipties (1 every 18'). You'll be adding many more when you attach the plastic roof.

Once the screen is 'tacked' in place, pull the 6mil plastic sheeting over the top. I started ziptieing the plastic at the peak of the roof and worked down both sides.

With a dime store (remember those?) hole punch (see picture) you can punch a clean hole about 1" in, anywhere along the edge you wish. That 1" strip of 6mil plastic is what your ziptieing to the frame. Look at the close-up you can see the zip-tie is holding about 1" of plastic.

6mil plastic is much heavier than your average trash bag. This stuff don't rip easy! I stitch the plastic sheeting with a zip-tie every 6"-8" inches. Snip them off.

The plastic side wall is attached to a 20' piece of PVC I added along the bottom. If I just snip a few zipties up the posts, I can roll the sides up for total ventilation! Just have a plastic top!

So far it has held-up to some pretty strong wind, however look at where it is. There are 'windbreaks' on all 4 sides. Not going to get that much wind.

One thing that has been a pleasant surprise has been the 'illuminated' effect the whole roof gets when the Sun hits it.

The Sun can be at a great angle to the greenhouse but, as long the Sun is hitting the roof, it just explodes with light! It's like a great big diffuser. The whole greenhouse lights-up. The Sun doesn't have to hit every plant directly.

I've tried to show the 'illumination' effect in these pictures. The pictures really don't do it justice, it's much more pronounced in person, but I think you get the idea.

Anyway it's a great light disperser.

The role up sides are genuis. Hats off.

I have recently fallen off the organic wagon. I used MG on these. Now before you go and chastise me take a close look at how deep the frost is developing on these flowers. And did somebody say "BIG BUD" contest? Look at that big Kush bud eating a water bottle!

Hey, wait a minute! I was born in SoCal...........Dad?

Well, as my Dad moves, again, (we were so close this time!), I thought I give an update on Gen2 & Gen3.

Even though all of the Gen2 plants had between 6" to 12" removed for clones (other pictures) they are all now well adjusted in their new 15gal pots! They are already between 18" & 30" tall & starting to fill-in nicely. We'll see how they bush-up, in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, over in the nursery, Gen3 is doing well also. Looks like 100% survival after one week. Should see roots poking out of the bottom holes in a couple of days. They're looking good for now!
