Well, So far 3/3 plants including my crippled rockstar have taken quite kindly to the perlite. I think it's braver trying to grow in something like miracle grow moisture control hahah.

Have you had any issues with your perlite blowing out of your pots from the fan?

Nope.

It's much, much cleaner than soil.

Best of all no bugs, No fucking gnats anymore

I have read the whole thread. Not saying I know it all. Just my opinion here. On your main grow, the baby that has suffered and indured alot. You are doing a fantastic job. Air circulation and temps seem to be a small, small, small issue at flowering along with MG use. Nutes may have cuased a little burn, Oh well. All suited up in the perlite now seems to be doing just great. Outstanding job.

That's what I used last go round. I would recommend it for noobs it was super easy I must have gotten lucky I did'nt have gnats but I did have a few mushrooms. My goal is to grow some medicine as easily as possible. You can water it until it over runs out the bottom and not have to water for 3-4 days, or you can add just a bit everyday. Both methods worked well for me. But I do plan on switching to hempy buckets when I get a good medicine supply built up. Oh and Chibzilla your name allways reminds me of Sons of Anarchy Chibs the VP aka the Irish guy with the Scar.

I just have to hand it to the holy grail kush, It's her that's been doing all the work!
Poor little baby's definitely been through a lot, The smoke will just be that much more satisfying when all is said and done with.

I'm extremely happy that I have two more seeds of the same HGK batch, one of which will be used as a mother for clones next time around.
Those are going to be saved for months down the road when I get my hands on some real lighting and a tent

I probably wouldn't do another hempy method to be completely honest, Just straight perlite and a regular pot works fine as shown by my Chemo.
I have to water every 2 days, 4 days I think would be a bit excessive.

More pictures from today and last night.

Supercropped the Chemo because she was getting way to fucking tall. Developing 2x the speed my HGK was/is, perfect example of a plant that's taken a beating and one that's lived an easy life haha. She just got her full dose of nutes yesterday, impressed how much as she was kicking for such a light dosage I was giving her.

Also realized that I've been 2xing my nutes because the damn guy at the hydro shop pointed me to the wrong section in the recipes :s oh well doesn't look like they seem to care

HGK - Anyone have a rough estimate on how much longer for it? I'm guessing 4-5 weeks.

Okay man I c ya. Ya givin that she was reaching so she was bound to bend. Atleast she didnt break off when she snapped. Cool though, just a more experienced method of LST all on its own. I would be quick to use a string and support her though. Can definitly tell there were issues with the nutes. Glade you got it on point now. Not to many weeks left lets c how she turns out

My HGK is getting out of control in terms of stank, she's getting ripe with aroma and I finally did something about it.
My cousin came into my room today and he said it smelled like rotting towels which is pretty much a perfect way of describing it.

Anywho I saw these http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-eliminator-meadow-cartridge/dp/B000H0SDD4/ref=pd_sim_hg_5 at target a couple weeks ago and after reading mixed reviews I decided fuck it and got one.
It's been plugged into my room for 3 hours and I walked in there and could not smell a darned thing, literally 100% of the smell was gone and I didn't even use the smell packet it came with so there's nothing covering it up besides the carbon filter in which it comes with. I'm extremely impressed, 20 dollars I'd say it's worth it!

Well my chemo is just getting stupid tall... Had to supercrop her again today but its not shown in the pictures... hope it doesn't do any stunting!

Why not just LST instead of supercropping? It's way less stress on the plant....tie that bish down

Would also allow some of those lower bud sites to catch up to the top in development.

Not possible, The plant was too tall and stock was too strong for lst this far into development, I just checked on her now and she's 99%.
Doesn't even look the slightest bit affected and she's just a bit taller than the HGK in terms of height now

It's totally possible, I've LST'd plants with thicker stems than that plenty of times. You can make the stalk more bendy by gently bending between your thumb and pointer finger and slowly moving up the stalk. Makes the plant stronger too.

Glad to hear she's recovered so quickly though

- Rockstar Started on light nutes, doubled in size in two days
- HGK is approaching the finish line, maybe a couple more weeks/resin coated
- Chemo's been supercropping again because she was stretching like crazy, finally has settled down though

Last night I LST'd the same branch I supercropped and today there was a clear sticky ooze coming from the bend, I guess it's just my plant repairing herself.
Least she's the same height as my HGK again
